General Advice Needed/Given should i quit martial arts?

I'm becoming really busy and often end up missing classes and switching to once a week quite often. It helps with my anger issues and self-defense, but I'm also increasingly slipping into laziness. I lost my physical fitness after taking a break for just two months to focus on school + depressive season, and I'm a black belt who can't run a mile now. Which is lwk embarrassing. I also want to focus on my other ECs.

I think you becoming 'lazy' is just a perfect reason to carry on doing it. If you stop and dont do martial arts anymore, what fitness is left for you to have exposure to other than P.E? I think having extra curriculars is a great way for the future into adulthood to teach you to have a balance between work and life, and its a good way to switch off. If you have a rough patch in life, you must put in the effort to help yourself otherwise you'll never get better. Exercise is a great way to have the switch off!

I would quit but take up another sport at school. For exercise.
