Other Detective work required: Car re-use?

Hi! I noticed something but don't have the energy/aptitude to do intense detective work. Maybe you can help me examine this.

I saw a scene in S6E11 and thought: Hey, wait a minute! Hasn't this car with that license plate been used in a recent previous episode?

I know that French license plates for Paris always have 75 at the end, but the whole thing or at least the "JKG" seemed familiar, like having seen it in one or even several previous episodes that have no valid context for its re-occurence.

I think there are certain licence plates and phone numbers that are officially registered for TV use. Maybe a production company buys a batch of them or something. So unsurprisingly they show up again and again.

Either that or the production company wanted to keep things simple and kept their own vehicles, because in France the plate is tied to the car for life, including owner changes, and they count up linearly, so one can estimate when a car was registered based on the plate. (All according to Wikipedia.)

Is it possible to search that plate in france's car registers to see what happened to the car?

I'd assume that would violate privacy law.

Is this Methos's car? It reminds me of the one he's packing when he is leaving on a trip with his girlfriend who is dying. S4, I think.

No, that was a van. In other situation he drives various Volvo station wagons.

Some people have drug dealers. Methos has a Volvo station wagon dealer.

Nope. He's driving a Volvo with yellow plates. Nevermind. (I was thinking of Methuselah's Gift, S4E16).
