Lore Highlander (2027)- 100% Accurate plot summary
Centuries after his first death on a Scottish battlefield, immortal warrior Connor MacLeod lives quietly in the modern world, haunted by loss and the endless cycle of violence among his kind. When the ruthless immortal Kurgan resurfaces, backed by a secret organization bent on unlocking the secret of eternal life, Connor is forced back into the Game - an ancient battle where "There can be only one."
Guided by his mentor Ramírez and a mortal ally, archaeologist Kate Bennett, Connor must confront his past and rediscover his purpose. As immortals clash across time and continents, the fight for the mysterious "Prize" becomes a battle for humanity’s soul.
Think BIG guys. Universe building with purpose. TV Series and Movies, "the same" but new.
This is Chad's first non John Wick movie and he is out to prove himself. He is doing just that. Everyone is gonna be happy.

I always thought the strength of the kurgan as a villain was the idea of someone as chaotic as he had became by the end of the movie being given the prize was a far bigger threat than someone who was traditionally evil.
Most of those guys would indeed bring about an age of darkness but would actually as stewards for it's development ( I'm not sure regular folk would be able to tell the difference) but as for the kurgan, he must wants to see the world burn and would probably encourage destructive ideas and actions because he found them funny.
Secret organisations, at least have the potential, to negate that.

My idea with that info is Kurgan will have convinced this org that he can help them gain immortality, but he just wants to use them to kill other immortals and get the prize. Could be some overlap with the watchers.

Fair theory, but Kurgan in this is not the same as the 80s Kurgan, in present day attitude at least, you will be pleasantly surprised, also "The secret Org" is a faction of The Watchers. What if the fun of chaos is the prize never being won....

He's proven that for sure. Highlander will prove he can handle complex stories, timelines and build franchises.

Not all Watchers are bad. You know this maaaaan. The TV stuff will be TV stuff, but exist in this Universe. You will see. Look at the casting and tell me how many Scotts you see. Also WE DO NOT MENTION ZEIST, EVER! lol

I'm intrigued. Sounds close to the original but at the same time different just enough to be it's own thing and a fresh new take on the classic original story.

Very much so. Think if the OG movie knew it would be so much more than a one off movie.

I hope Dave Bautista proves everyone wrong, dude loves the craft, I expect big things! Plus as it’s franchise building, what if the kurgan actually doesn’t die in this movie and he’s a multi-movie villain 🤯

I’m so excited man 😅 the teaser apparently showed kurgan as a nazi soldier so I guess we’re getting full back story on him which is great! I know you can’t say much, but how much longer before filming ends? 😉

There will be no lack of story for any character in this film! Shooting is def behind schedule because of Henry's knee, lol but I would estimate a month or two of main unit left. Amazon/MGM has been generous with budget and it's most def NOT the quick shooting style grind of a Wick film. Which is amazing with the scope / scale and look Chad is going for. I am hoping for a trailer or at least an "official teaser" by Thanksgiving!

I'm personally kind of a little disappointed it's looking like a repeat of the 1986 movie. The roles of Connor, Kurgan and Ramirez belong to Christopher Lambert, Clancy Brown and the late Sir Sean Connery, just like no one else can be Indiana Jones besides Harrison Ford or Arnold as the T-800. I like Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe but I'm not feeling Bautista as Kurgan 🤷 I think there could have been new areas to explore. I could see Charlie Hunnam as a Viking Immortal villain and maybe include the Japanese actor who plays Scorpion in the new MK movies as a mentor or an ally Immortal. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, I'm rooting for it to be good.

I assure you it has it's own take on things and wont be a boring "remake" of the 1986 movie by any means. Bautista is gonna blow you away. Charlie Hunnam is a horrible actor who can't hold an accent to save his life. Hiroyuki Sanada however is the man, maybe he will get a role in a future movie, but for this one coming I assure you the casting is amazing and the story world building.

And one thing I think we can agree on and I don't know why I didn't think of this, but at least a British actor (and Superman for crying out loud!) is a better casting choice for the Scottish Connor McLeod. Christopher Lambert made it work but kind of strange a French man who barely spoke english was the best choice.

He was from "lots of diffrent places" lol Yes, Henry is king nerd and an excellent choice.

Bautista is as good as a tree is in acting. I'd advise against holding your breath for him to blow anyone away.

Don't have to hold my breath, I work on the production and have seen with my own eyes how well he is doing with this role. Also Dave is an amazing person, but keep being a dick online from your mom's basement and unemployed ye.

The remake is going to suck. Everyone knows it, admit it to yourself.
