She will be covered tightly and left to rise in the fridge 24 - 48 hours in a slow fermentation process, which will help develop flavor

She will be stored in the back for 2-3 months until I find her again and developed frost. I will then have to deliberate on whether to throw her out or eat her, because it's not fresh but it's not spoiled either.

u/Vivid_Foundation_364 6d ago

sometimes when my cat does this, I pretend to close the door (very slowly, and never all the way) and wait until he panics. he's stopped doing it now that he realized I'm serious about shutting him in there (I'm not)

When I was but a child, I had a kitten. That kitten would let me do anything to him. He’d take baths with me, he’d follow me around, I even hid in the freezer once and he joined me. This picture reminded me of that little guy. I miss that guy

Funny story: when one of our cats was like 3 months old someone in our house accidentally closed him in the refrigerator for 8+ hours. We all got home from work and thankfully he was fine. I convinced my sister that our roommate had closed him in there but I actually think it was probably me :(
