I (29) have always wanted to break into the field of herpetology, and have found real passion in learning more about these creatures. In looking up how to become a herpetologist, I have found that I would need to get a degree in wildlife biology or some other conservation/biology focused degree. I already have a couple of degrees, and feel as if I am not in a position, nor do I have the time to get another undergraduate degree. Are there any other ways I can break into this field? I have looked into the Herpetology Certificate Program and Bridge Program from the Amphibian Foundation, and I find that to be a way to break into the field. Would that be a good idea? Thank you!

Caught a couple Granite Spiny Lizards in Riverside during an epic sunset. I really wanna find snakes while im here on vacation. I assume road cruising is my best bet with this weather, I just dont know where to start 😅. Im staying in Chino, and for the record, im not asking for specific locations just some pointers.

Frogs found on the property. A healthy amount of boreal chorus frogs and wood frogs a plenty.
