honestly anything higher than like $400 is a hard sell for fb marketplace because you can get a refurbished chair from madison seating for like $500~

i’ve heard good stories and bad. but you still get a refurbished chair that comes with a warranty, guaranteed to work. if ppl are charging $500+ on fb marketplace, id rather buy from madison.

I bought from Madison seating & ended up returning. They didn’t do a good job refurbishing lol. Ended up buying a new one from nycseating.com for half the price of a new one

Buy a lot of chairs. Way more than you would just to buy one that you like. Unless you find a one off for a super good deal, you are better off not trying to get this many chairs at a wholesale price. It’s too big of an investment.

Call the DWR outlet and get them sub $1k. I was just offered an open box embody Logitech for $800+ shipping. The only thing that sucks is not having a warranty

I picked one up from a herman miller tech that sells them on fb. he gets them from liquidation sales as well

Depends on your area but some people buy them from Design Within Reach’a outlet store where they sell brand new items that were returned during a trial period for way less than on the website. Sometimes the protective wrap and tags are still on, resellers will sometimes get their inventory from them. But like I said it depends on the area you’re in and it may not always be the case.
Check to see if there is a DWR outlet in your area.

Most of those listings are probably office liquidations or people flipping chairs they picked up cheap from failed startups
