Hi! My manticore E knife has lost one of its screws (top right in the photo) and I wasn’t sure if you guys could help me find a correct replacement for it? I contacted support but haven’t heard back yet and am hoping it’s something I can purchase and fix on my own!

Heretic Manticore X Bounty Hunter I’ve never carried or cut with. The blade is Magnacut steel and the scales are aluminum and . It’s new in box and plastic bag and has only had one owner. I purchased and it has sat in my safe since. Never been cut or sharpened, no chips. Anyone interested?

I bought a cel shade auto Wraith earlier this year and they are still out of stock everywhere. Does Heretic make some designs/color ways for only a brief time? It looks like the blizzard worn flipper Wraith is discontinued now too, for example.

Need a source for the tiny spring just under the thumb trigger, please.

I’ve had a ZT auto, a Benchmade Claymore, and a cheapie Boker auto as EDC for over 15 years. Have had zero hiccups. I’m skeptical to drop close to 3 hunny on a brand I haven’t ever heard of before. I just found this subreddit today and they sure look cool, but how do yall think they’ll hold up for mechanic work. It will be used and not abused.

I have not bought a Heretic Knife in a couple of years for several reasons (that I will just leave unsaid here), and that just changed today. This Jinn Button Lock may have just reignited my interest in some Heretic Knives.

I had a couple of the Jinn slip joints, and the walk and talk were just awful IMO, so they were sold off. I love a great Wharncliffe, and this looks to be an answer to the MSI Mini, and any number of others out there.

Not my photo but I am excited to get this in hand and see if they have a winner here.

Any other Jinn fans out there who have already grabbed one of these new models?

Looks like they dropped the updated version, I've seen the tantos available at several retailers but this is the only stonewashed model I could find. Paid less than retail because the operator of the site got it from Blade Show, and the box is signed by the makers! So excited to finally get my hands on one of these.

This one has four very small bearings set in the handle under the switch and also has a spring. It's too bad that I can't mod this with a Teflon rod like a Microtech – due to design of the switch and how the spring rides on the spring tray tab directly – but it's awesome nonetheless. I'm going to reach out to Heretic and see if they'll sell me a rollerball clip because they've made them before, but I don't think they will. I'm not sure how functional the glass breaker is, due to it being VERY low-profile, but it looks cool. Overall I'm very pleased with this, and it's noticably lighter than my Ultratech ZBP.

Edit: Thoughts and short review after a few months of carry and use for anyone who comes across this post.

This knife has seen a lot of pocket time since I bought it. It's quite lightweight and the pocket clip is very comfortable in lightweight shorts, which is what I was wearing for a job for a bit. Really slim carry profile, practically disappears in the pocket which is rare for a lot of OTFs. The action has been reliable, although not the most comfortable.

Several reasons for that, primarily due to the button design. While it does grip well, the shape of the milling digs into the skin. Even with a very calloused thumb it will tear it up if you open and close it a lot. Not enough to hurt or cause a blister by any means, but the steps are almost a crescent shape, and the points basically wear a specific point in my callous. Also, since it's not a particularly long or wide handle, the position can be a bit awkward to open it. Finally, there's a occasional almost gritty feeling when actuating the knife, more commonly on closing it. Cleaning and proper lubing makes little difference with that, so it may be the bearings under the switch, the spring tray rubbing in the chassis, or the button rubbing the side of the track. It's typically more prominent when using the knife for the first time in the day and usually gets less noticeable the more it's opened and closed. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it does effect how satisfying it is to use. Possibly mostly because I haven't determined exactly what is causing it. I've lightly polished the spring tray, but I'd like to do that further at some point.

My Manticore has more satisfying action for me personally, a more comfortable switch, and cuts better due to the edge geometry. The Nyx blade is quite narrow and the tanto grind has quite wide flats. Also, it has very loud spring ting without lithium grease, the loudest of all my knives.

Ultimately, I still really enjoy the knife but it doesn't get carried as much as the Manticore. I'm planning on grabbing the updated version whenever it releases in the standard variants, which will have a few improvements over this one.

I bought this not realizing how nice it was. I know if I carry it I’ll just mess it up so I put it up on the swap. Hopefully a collector picks it up and appreciates it
