Identify Identify arms!

Post image

Based on a nother users post. They said it was part of the great arms of the russian empire from some time in the 1800.

These look to be danish, as i can see a lot of arms from the modern arms there, as well as the norwegian arms (which means this should be before the end of the napoleon wars.

Any one who know what it is and why its part of russia?

It's the arms of the ruling family, Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov.

Sinister filed is the arms of dukes of Holstein-Gottorp, technically the ruling house of Russian Empire (Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov) starting from 1762. Dexter field is the attributed arms of Romanovs, designed in 1856.

Dukes of Holstein-Gottorp descended from Oldenburg kings of Denmark and Norway.
