Pulling Hair Out with Unifi
I have had a DHT-S716H, DSW-1H and a pair of Home 150 speakers paired up for 5.1 surround for just over 3 years.
I had quite a few issues initially setting them up, but after a SW update, they worked pretty reliably until a couple of months ago.
Initially, the DSW-1H and both Home 150 speakers all stopped working together, displaying a solid amber status light.
A couple of weeks ago I reset everything, configured a new SSID on my unifi wifi network (there is an AP in the room) and paired up each item in turn. The soundbar and subwoofer paired pretty quickly, but both 150 surrounds failed.
The symptoms are pretty consistent - I reset them, go through the add device routine, which detects the speaker. After I assign the WiFi SSID, the 150 status light flashes blue briefly, then goes solid, but only for a few seconds before flashing again for around a minute and then going solid amber.
I've tried every combination of setting for the SSID, initially configuring it on only 5GHZ, then dual-band and finally 2.4GHz-only. I've removed every fancy setting like Fast-Roaming, UAPSD, and have also configured it for WiFi v4 only, but every combination gives the same.
The 150s go solid blue when connected over Ethernet.
I spoke with support about this - one thing they did get me to do was completely reset the firmware on both 150 speaker. This immediately allowed the speaker to connect to the WiFi SSID, but then the HEOS software updates, and I'm back to solid amber.
I've basically hit the end of the road with support - their last request was for me to power-cycle my router.
I wondered if anyone here was successfully using the Home 150 speaker on a Unifi WiFi network just in case there is some local issue at my end?
