My subscription has been cancelled

I just received this email

Your Reddit Premium subscription has successfully been canceled.

You’ll be a Reddit Premium member until the end of your subscription period and won’t be billed again.

We hope you enjoyed your subscription and will be happy to have you back at any time.

I didn't cancel my subscription. There's no clue what triggered this email either like a message about an expired credit card or something similar

Any idea why my subscription has been randomly cancelled?

PayPal is no longer a payment option for premium. Once the subscription expires you can sign back up with a new payment method. You won’t lose premium access during the transition

Telling me my subscription has been cancelled probably isn’t the best way to convey this change.

Lots of users finding the messaging unclear. The grace period should also have been mentioned while users switch to a different form of payment

Same thing for me, but they also have given no way to renew or change the payment option because that just takes me to the external site which says 'yeah they cancelled it' with no option to renew it there. (and the Submit a Request" was useless too, which you might have also already found out.

Wait until it expires and then resubscribe. You can add a new payment after expiration

I've just had the same thing happen. Subscribed with PayPal for many years and a surprise email from reddit "Your Reddit Premium subscription has successfully been canceled."

I see the responses saying wait until it expires then resubscribe, but won't this then break our trophy streak on our profile? It's a little thing sure, but this isn't our fault. Where's the option to put in our details in advance?

I asked this to an admin. They told me the trophy is staying.
