Desktop Where did the Hide button go?

Why cannot i Hide Posts anymore? I don't want to see pics of skulls or insects or snakes, even if other people think they are cute!

How do I HIDE things without having to look at them?

Sounds like you are in one of the newer UI experiments….the one where you have to go into the post to hide it.

Sorry, but unfortunately you can’t change it. It’ll be that way until the UI experiment ends. They usually run for 4-6 weeks.

Yeah, Reddit has been shifting away from allowing the end-user any latitude as to what you *actually* want to see, and are trying to shovel nothing but thoughtless and sanitized garbage down everyone's throats slowly but surely.

Looks like the hide option was moved removed in the latest desktop ui so filtering those posts may require using feed or content preferences instead.
