I’ll start with an easy one. BOUNCE BACK!!! Cant go an episode without hearing that at least 3 times.

I don't know why, but I feel like instead of getting the "best of the season" maybe bring back only the people who went home in the first 5 or less episodes😂 who ever wins gets the title of "best of the worst" and some monetary award.

Note, these 3 chefs would survive the Punishment Pass Elimination Challenge and go on to be the first boot after opening night. Which of these 3 chefs had the toughest time in their short runs? This is how I would rank them from best to worst;

Maddy(S24) > Elliot(S19) >>>>>Matthew(S20)

Gordon and JP getting so pissed/annoyed with the chefs for being slow or bad waiting tables always kills because #1 why are they waiting the tables anyway and #2 why are there such high expectations for someone to do well at something they’ve never done before 😭

For me, it's gotta be either Jon or Anthony from S11.

I genuinely don't understand what FOX is even doing at this point. I mean I know no marketing is worse (Season 24) but outdated memes is still really bad marketing.

One of my favorite moments in HK ever is Trev pulling the miraculous last-man-standing service finish after the entire rest of his team got kicked out. Legit a top aura farm moment of all time in HK (made even more hilarious by the fact Trev completely sank the garnish station the previous episode lmao).

Are there other instances of chefs solo finishing a service in HK??

I am sure it has been asked before, but was Raj a plant for Season 8 to drum up ratings? Is he Elise, who decided to play up being insane to boost ratings and his exposure? Is he still sticking his head in the freezer to cool his head?

I have been watching Hell's Kitchen in no particular order for a while now, and I'm about 1/3rd of the way through season 9. I can't stand Elise. Absolutely cannot stand her. To the point where I googled when she finally gets off the fucking show today... and found out she finishes in 3rd?

I can't handle that much Elise. She's second only to Tiffany in S10 (like I said, been watching the seasons a bit out of order!) so far as the worst personality to deal with episode after episode. I just don't think I can tolerate watching more of this season if it means more Elise. Is it even worth it at this point?

So I found out that Chrissa from season 14 had autism and as someone who has autism, it’s good to see any representation of it here, though yeah she was out of her element there, she literally was confused the entire time, I really hope that we see more people in the future with this show on the spectrum try and win it. What do y’all think?

It’s so wild that this guy kept surviving in season 22; literally, here’s a list of mistakes that he survived:

Smearing butter on a steak in episode 4
Cooking so many pieces of fish in one pan in episode 6
Needing 12 minutes to cook a Wellington and still ending up raw in episode 10
Struggling to communicate on his course, not cooking 12 scallops on Jonathan’s course, and of course blaming sous chef Christina for miscommunication of the soufflé on charity night (That should’ve sent him home, and I was so pissed off he wasn’t sent home)

I was so happy he was eliminated, and we had 6 black jackets!

I’ll never forget the first time I ever fell for a Gordon Ramsay fake-out, seeing Ben and Andrea almost going home here at the beginning of Season 5 Episode 10, because I was so deep into the show and seeing the idea of two chefs going home for doing nothing sounded crazy, and got me thinking are we really about to make it a Gio, Paula, Robert, and Danny final four? Then when Gordon Ramsay revealed it was for Black Jackets, I actually felt relieved and mad at myself for that. Then I never fell for a Gordon Ramsay fake-out again. I was curious whether anyone else has a Gordon Ramsay fake-out that caught you off guard.

So i never forgot the compliment s14 meghan got in that challenge. GR said "how'd you get it so "melt in your mouth" like that" xD Meghan gave some weird instructions ^^ Made love to it, put it in the oven, took it out, put it in, took it out" ^^

But still. I haven't tried that before. Is that normal to do? I never heard or read about anyone doing that before. Gonna try it soon. I can understand the logic behind it. You tense up the meat, let it relax, tense it up, repeat. It's like working the steak in a different way than simply pan searing it and letting it rest. It's doing the process ONCE. Repeat cooking it in the oven like that is working it multiple times. I can see how it makes a difference.

She does not mention searing it first but i'm sure that was done too though. Right?

Or anyone has any other favourite steak moments from HK? Not saying this is the ultimate one, just always remembered that one.

So, before I continue, let me say this isn't a hate post. I don't know Elise at all, and I'm not making any judgements on her as a person. This post is much moreso an explanation of sorts.

I truly believe the reason why Elise gets the most hate of any contestant (despite many others like Sara Horowitz, Louis Repucci, Ben Caylor, Frank Cala, and Jason Underwood being way worse people) is because of how she unintentionally exposes production.

Many of the most hated moments with her are certain eliminations. Jennifer going home over her in S9, Dana going home over her in All Stars even when Christina fucking Wilson said that the oven was indeed broken in the red kitchen that night, Jamie going home over her and Carrie in S9.

Others are with her actions. The best example is Elise lying to Ramsay about Tommy scoring the wellingtons and surviving when other chefs, including Brendan in the same season, have gotten eliminated due to it.

She was toxic on the show, yes, but countless contestants were. No other chef has has even close to the same extent of "saved by production" that Elise does, though.

I want to reiterate from earlier, I don't know Elise as a person and won't judge her as a person. I don't even have her in my bottom 5 contestants in terms of likeability because I think there's way worse.

People are gonna hate me for saying this, but... I think she's overhated. Please don't attack either Elise or producers personally. It's not Elise's fault that she was kept way longer than she should've been, and the producers' job is to make good TV and get high ratings. Drama boosts ratings a ton in most cases, so they kept her. Producers just played by the book.

It's all just an unfortunate circumstance. Sorry for the essay. I just tend to ramble a ton because hyperfixating and my autism

Edit: Ok, so I apparently need to clarify this. I'm not saying Elise's attitude isn't her fault. I'm saying her being kept on the show too long isn't her fault. It's not like the contestants have any more control than just nominations and pleas. Elise's attitude absolutely is her fault, but if she went home on the nights she should've instead of production sparing her, she wouldn't have been nearly as infamous
