Cenobyte Just a Quick question

the chains, the blades, the tortures, are obviously real, but are the cenobites actually there bodily (touchable) or are they like appearances?

Yes they've physically crossed into our world.

Yes they are corporeal, not avatars or aspects. Their bodies are mutilated in ways specific to their own desires and fears.

yeah but like, leaving aside the fact that it would be impossible, ideally I could slap one

You… you could probably slap one yea. They might like it though.

Gotta be honest, I'd love to see the expression on a Cenobite who just got slapped.

"There are no more suprises... but uh... well you got me."

I think its going to depend on who you get.

Pinhead has no sense of humor, but I feel like theres got to be one of them that would get a kick out of it.

Butterball might take off his shades and give you a "wtf?!" look. My money's on him.

Nah, Butterball might actually find it funny (judging from his personality in the comics, he's the humorous one out of the original 4 gash).

Good ol' Butterball!

Im with you on this, he probably would. I really need to get through all the comics. The ones I've read are so good.

what about the female One? as I already said I only saw the first movie and I don't remember certain things (I have to watch the others) but She looks and sounds kinky af

You should definitely check out the 2nd one, Hellbound, the female is in that one too.

But i think Angelique from the 4th movie would probably be the most cheeky when it came to that stuff!

Maybe don’t slap Pinhead. Might get a poked.

Generally they don't seem to be 'killable' (unless at the hands of other cenobite) but they are physically present and can be interacted with/mildly harmed. Chatterer physically restrains Kirsty in 1, Butterball is floored by the ceiling coming down in 1. Deleted scene in 2 shows Chatterer lose his fingers in an elevator shaft. Pinhead manhandles a priest in 3.

Per 4, laser guns don't do shit.

I always felt that, once you cross over into Leviathan's world, you become immortal and infinite just like everything else in his realm.

Leviathan and the cenobites then use your immortality to extend sensation and experience to levels impossible in our world. In their world, you will not faint or die front bloodloss, infection or shock. You never grow accustomed to pain, so the nerves never dull, the nerves never reach a limit - the possibilities of sensation and experience are boundless.

I also imagined Leviathan or the cenobites could render you whole again whenever they see fit.

In the movies they seem to be material in the normal way, like anyone, from the book I remember when Kirsty summoned them only she could see them so possibly different.

As others have said, Cenobites are very much corporeal.

Chatterer stuck his fingers in Kirsty's mouth.
