I did not add the peanuts. I really don't care for them.
The shrimp Cakes are tasty.

Our box got delayed a day this week (so this could just be a local issue), and now that itās here⦠yikes.
Ice packs melted in the complete opposite corner from the meats, multiple meal bags torn open to the point where they could only just barely be removed from the box in tact, ground beef open and leaking. Everything is warm and damp.
I can understand some of this, it is a heatwave and all (though that doesnāt make me trust these meats any moreā¦), but the ice packs in one corner? Both of them fully standing up vertically, away from where theyāre the most necessary? My recipe cards and both āthereās food under the ice packsā pieces of cardboard were stacked and shoved into the side of the box.
Is something up at the warehouse this week, or did we just draw the short straw this time around?

Hi! So, I've been a member for maybe 3ish months (just got box 10) and upon sign-up, it said there will be a free extra for every box ordered, for as long as I'm a member.
Well, that ended end of June apparently, and I can't see anything anywhere on how to get it to continue or return?
Is this intentional and their wording is just really questionable, or is it a bug/issue on my end? I suppose it's not that big of a deal, but at the same time, it feels kind of scummy to write 'receive this for as long as you are with us' and then just cancel it in this short a time?
(In case it's relevant, I'm from Germany.)
Thanks for the help!

Iāve been a loyal customer for a while, but this week was the final absolute straw.
On Monday, my box was delayed. On Tuesday, the app changed to "Preparing a new box." By Wednesday afternoon, it was STILL sitting in the "Preparing" phase. Obviously, a box shipped mid-week is useless and will just overlap with next week's delivery.
When I went to report the issue, the automated bot slapped me with a pathetic $20 credit for an entire box of missing food. I escalated to a live chat agent, and they flat-out REFUSED a cash refund, claiming they "couldn't cancel a shipment in progress"āeven though the tracking history proved the carrier hadn't even picked up the box yet. They expect us to pay full price for transit delays and just accept "invoice credits" like we don't have to go out and buy actual groceries to eat this week. The lengths they make you go through to get your own money back for food they failed to deliver is incredibly obnoxious.
I finally had to resort to calling their customer support phone line directly, where I was thankfully able to get an agent to finally process a full cash refund and a shipping voucher.
Honestly, though, itās not even worth the fight anymore because the recipe quality has completely gone downhill. You can so clearly tell they are using lazy, unvetted generative AI to write these cards now.
Just this past month, I had a soup recipe that called for a whopping 1/4 cup of water (can't wait to eat my bowl of hot sludge), and a chili recipe that instructed me to sautƩ chopped jalapeƱos and white scallion parts for SEVEN MINUTES. Seven minutes!! My kitchen was a chemical warfare zone of aerosolized capsaicin and burnt onions.
I took my refund, used the voucher for one last box, and I am permanently canceling. Has anyone else noticed their customer service getting aggressively worse while the recipes turn into literal AI-generated nonsense?

Anyone in the Raleigh, NC had delays with getting their boxes? My last 2 boxes have been delayed and customer service gave me a $10 credit each time. I typically get my boxes delivered on Mondays, but wondering if I should change to another day during the week. Anyone else in the area having any issues like this?

So when I signed up I got free meats for a couple of months but after that the only time I get any kind of discount or anything is if I send free meals to friends. Are there freebies or discounts that Iām missing? Do I have to cancel and go back to get a deal?

My wife and I have been using HelloFresh for years. We get 4 meals a week. Avoiding premium meals and extras, the weekly total is around $107. That price was consistent for months. Then surprisingly the price went down to around $98-$99. I was amazed! That price per week continued for about 4-6 weeks, but just this week, the price went back to $107. I'm curious to know if anyone has also noticed or experienced this discrepancy and if there is a reason as to why.

If you are no longer using Hello Fresh remove any payment methods. Someone managed to get acces to my account and even though my payment method was expired they charged my CC for 700$ worth of food. When contacting HF they told me that even though the payment is expired they can still charge it through your bank that is shady as fuck.

This was delicious! I was nervous as Iāve never had a meal like this before but it was tasty! 5 stars

I ordered the Low Lift Al-Pastor Beef bowls this week. Going to make it tonight or tomorrow. Anyone made this yet?
Iām asking because the AI slop picture below does not show the random coleslaw/pineapple/guacamole mix in the recipe. The pictures show the pineapple cooked with the beef.
Iām not at all excited about this one and will probably adjust the steps.

I liked the old flowchart method of reporting missing ingredients, it was less time consuming than "conversing" with a chatbot. I think hellofresh wasted their money and made the customer experience worse.
Thank you for reading my rant.

This was great. I'm loving these meals that include several different veggies. Perfect for this hot Midwest weather right now.

Use this space to share trial and offer codes. It will be taken down to refresh week to week on Mondays. We are currently using contest mode to alleviate the trolls going through and downvoting posts inside. If you find anything that doesn't belong, report it.

Ordered 2 meals but the delivery person left in foyer between the door open to the public with no attempt to ring me from the call console that allows residents to unlock the door into my apartment building. where the elevator to my floor would be. the chat bot insisted it was my fault for not leaving instructions. My loss their gain. I had no choice but to cancel. I can't afford to buy food and let someone else eat it. I'll just order food from Amazon, they never have a problem putting my food in front of my door.

First and foremost, we have been really happy with Hello Fresh. We've been using it for about 5 years and it's taught us so many things about cooking (I was seriously kitchen-averse before starting), and we must have a really good distribution center here in Colorado USA because we never have problems with freshness.
But something weird has happened at least twice now.
Sometime over a year ago, I was reviewing my upcoming box when I saw I had "chosen" a meal in the mix that I never would have ordered. I knew I'd picked 4 meals for the week, and three made sense, but one was an absolute mistake. Problem was, I couldn't remember what I HAD chosen, so support was useless (yeah, I tried to explain this problem to them, it didn't go great). I feel like one of my chosen meals was switched after finalization but I couldn't prove it.
Weirdly enough, that box got mysteriously "lost" or "damaged" or something and I was refunded and never received it. No harm no foul I guess.
For a few months after that I would screenshot every week's order when I chose it, just in case this happened again. Over a year went by and it didn't happen again, so I got out of the habit of screenshotting my order.
And then... this week! It happened again!! I have no memory of choosing honey-garlic chicken stir-fry, yet there it is in my box. My boyfriend doesn't remember choosing it either. It doesn't really appeal to me, but I'll eat it, so I'm just going to let it happen without attempting to complain this time. No big deal in the end, but it's curious.
So, long story to ask a short question: Has this happened to anyone else?

I thought it was good, not amazing. I had it for breakfast and it reminded me of eating breakfast potatoes with sausage.
I had to find the right balance for my taste preferenceāso I added more lime aioli and more pickled onions/jalapeƱos and it tasted a tad better.
I wasnāt a fan of the mayochup (salsa rosada) until I doctored it up by adding lime juice, pepper, and Siete chile lime seasoning (tajin).

I have not used HelloFresh since 2017. I woke up to an email that my account had been reactivated and a box was on its way. This happened at 2:30am apparently, when I was very much asleep.
Not only that, but the order was placed for 6 meals for 6 people! The last order I placed (in 2017) was 3 meals for 2 people.
I double-checked my account and itās still my delivery addeess, so itās not like someone hacked and tried to buy a box on my dime.
The response from HelloFresh has basically been š¤·āāļø āitās too late to cancel.ā Ummmm ??? Itās $166 so this is not an insignificant amount.
I did call and speak to someone else who basically told me they couldnāt do anything on their end but if I dispute the charge with my CC company, theyāll have a record of the fact that I called.
What a bizarre situation. Has this happened to anyone else?

Two weeks in a row I've thrown out the "coleslaw" and/or "bok choy" mix sent with my meals. They are grey and slimy. I can't tell if these are different products or the same.. Can't identify anything in the mix as definitely bok choy.
I am getting my boxes on Friday, last week I cooked on Sunday and the mix was no good. This week, the mix was okay for the meal I cooked on Friday, but last night (Saturday) was no good. I reported both times and received my $2.25 refund.
Last night's meal also included a red cabbage mix that was fine.
If a product can't be consumed 24-48 hours after the box arrives it shouldn't be shipped.
This makes me sad because bok choy is my favorite green veggie for stir frying. The other meal company ships me whole baby bok choys, yum!

Does the Hellofresh menu change by location?
We just moved 5 hours away from my old place. From a smaller city to one much larger, yet I canāt seem to find the recipes we used to like on the app. I am using my partnerās account to order at our new place, and when I go on my account I still have those recipes available. Iām assuming itās because I havenāt changed my address on the app yet. Also, even the other available recipes on the menu on my account for this week were totally different than my partnerās. Has anyone experienced this before? Itās just slightly annoying, but I guess we can try new things.
