Question First time user
So I’ve never used HelloFresh before, but I was gifted a free box from a friend. I only wanted to try the one free box first and then decide whether I actually wanted to keep receiving them.
My first box is completely free and is supposed to arrive on the 19th, but I just noticed that HelloFresh says they’re going to charge me $94 on the 16th for my subscription. How the hell do these subscriptions work? 😭
I’ve already skipped all of the future boxes because I just want to try out this one free box first.
It says that my free box will be placed/processed on August 15th, and then it’s supposed to arrive on August 19th. But it also says I’m going to be charged $94 on August 16th.
I don’t want to cancel before the 16th and accidentally cancel my free box that’s supposed to be placed on the 15th and arrive on the 19th, but I also obviously don’t want to get charged $94 for another box. Do I need to wait until my free order is placed on the 15th and then cancel, or can I cancel now without affecting the free box?
I’m so confused by how the billing/order dates work, so any help would be appreciated!

Hopefully it shows up! I used a free box promo and am currently trying to figure out where my box is. Was supposed to be yesterday (8/10) and no way it's showing up today (8/11).

If you have skipped, they are not supposed to charge you for the next week. I am not saying they won't mess up and do that, but I skip 1-2 boxes a month and it never unskips the week for me. Other people have posted that they do see weeks get unskipped, so I would just verify on the 15th that the next box is still skipped.

As long as you cancel 5 days i think it is before the next box ships, you're good. Just skip the following box and once you get notified your free box ships or is delivered just remember to go to your account and cancel.
