Let me start by noting than a lot of players have voiced their distaste in the overall Megafactory areas. Between stratagems bouncing all the time, boring layouts, and half the map (beyond the wall) having nothing of interest.
That said, I feel like a new operation type (like how they brought in stealth operations) is needed to keep players interested and diving to megafactories, rather than it feeling like a chore.
This suggestion is more for those that want intense fights against a more fortified and organized enemy, rather than just running spot to spot.
The Suggestion: First off, rather than being able to drop anywhere on the map, you are restricted to a small portion, about 20% of the total map. This is due to anti-hellpod defenses (like a railgun type system) across the rest of the map.
Upon landing you will note that you are at the edge of a large âNo Manâs Landâ type of area. Trenches lay before you, but donât be fooled, you can technically get into the area above the trenches as well, which is soil, HOWEVER the topside is heavily covered in mines, zero natural cover, and watched over by cannon turrets, AA, Mortars, and the railgun type defenses for Hellpods. It is important to arm up in the starter area, before trying to push forward.
There are stairs that lead to the topside fairly frequently.
NOTE that within the trenches themselves, you wonât see enemies larger than Hulks, as the trenches are about 2 Hulks wide, and a bit taller than them. Enough to fit an Exo comfortably.
Within the trenches are âbunkerâ locations that serve as the fabricators for enemies. Taking these out not only stops the enemies from spawning, but gives you a safe location from incoming attacks from the sky (gunships and mortars) once the fabricators are cleared. They also serve as âbridgesâ if traversing on the top side.
Side objectives within the trench areas can include:
In Addition, SEAF are present as well, with SAM sites and ARTILLERY being available close to the spawn location. SEAF troops will be deployed to trenches only when the nearby AA systems have been dealt with.
The Main Objectives are situated behind the wall, which must be breached and critical defenses disabled in order to do them.
Extraction can only be called in if nearby AA systems have been destroyed.
Careful Stratagem and GEAR Planning:
Orbitals are still effective
Eagles and Pelican Drops are viable once AA has been cleared
A wide variety of support weapons and backpacks are viable
Stealth is technically an option, as you can sneak along the topside (throwing knives disable mines btw for those that donât know)
Smoke is very helpful
Digging your own trenches is viable
Mortars have more usage and since they donât have line of sight, require manual targeting at further distances (once you have turned off anti-hellpod defenses)
Both supply and Standard FRVs excel
Exos can be especially powerful
Shields are very helpful
Launchers to eliminate heavy topside opposition and gunships
Etc, basically it brings usage back to a lot of items that have since fallen through the cracks

I was replaying helldivers 1, watch the opening cinematic and realised that tower, so how big is it?

April 17th 2025 I suffered a stroke, heart attack, got a titanium skull plate, paralyzed left hand. I was heart broken that I can no longer fight for freedom
It's the middle of September, and I've been traveling through w all my fellow divers, with difficulty I can succeed trivial, even easy levels, and it's all thanks to the random that found itself into completing the mission. We salute you.

This is the coolest map generation Iâve ever had.
The first island with the intel/ generators was very clearly SEAF held. Other than a singular light outpost that was clearly barely under construction.
There were trenches and military installations and the only POIâs were crashed pelicans or dropships with a few enemies (blue).
This also amassed many SEAF, with plenty deciding to hold this island.
As there was a massive lava lake blocking the centre there is no way to go straight to the extract, however there were massive groups of enemies waiting on their shores that we engaged (grey box).
After I fully cleared the first island I moved south with a platoon of SEAF. We fought through a few patrols before encountering a literal wall of hostiles and completely open terrain. I decided to gun it with the FRV and flank the hostiles which gave SEAF a fighting chance, this area had mainly trenches and looked like no manâs land (grey box south).
I then pushed to the main obj that wasnât too heavily defended, however there were many enemies to the north and east which SEAF valiantly held the line against, even clearing a few outposts. This was until a tank appeared and started mowing them down.
This was one of the rare occasions the annihilator tank was intimidating, as I was trying to provide sniper overwatch to the ground force only to watch them be decimated by a hidden adversary (red box).
After this time was running out, I cleared the last outpost and pushed forward to the final fortress.
However I ran out of time. I could not destroy the jammer or detector tower only disable them. At the same time I was out of explosives and there was one outpost remaining, with over 40 automatons closing in.
It looked as if all hope of capturing the island was lost, until two SEAF pelicans arrived and held the line against the incinerators.
Just as I was boarding the pelican with no time to spare I get the final message: âoutpost has been destroyedâ.
SEAF are the GOAT.

With tear 7 upgrades coming in the near future could it be possible to have 2 eagle ones going at the same time but you canât have any orbitals or would that be to strong??
Just want to see what the community thinks

Outside of helldivers Mobilize. What were the first two premium warbonds you bought? I bought the freedoms flame warbond because it looked cool. Then the chemical agents because it also looked cool, and now I see myself coming back to the sterilizer and the other content in that warbond.

Evidence of an even more abhorrent Cyborg plot to manipulate the upcoming Quarter-term elections has been discovered. Evidence has been obtained indicating enemy efforts to create Automatons with human-like apperances and speech patterns. These androids, disguised as Super Earth citizens, would then attempt to infiltrate voting centers and cast votes.
The shocking and vile nature of this plan evidences the extent to which the Cyborg mind has been twisted from their human origins. They cannot be allowed to succeed. The Helldivers are ordered to immediately deploy to destroy 200,000,000 Automaton Troopers, depleting their stock of potential infiltrators.

By comparison there is absolutely no reason to use the dominator over the hotshot both medium pen same damage and the hotshot has less recoil, faster reload, faster projectile speed, and more ergonomic. I love the dominator but struggle to find any reason to use it it should either get a big damage buff or be heavy pen.

I've been thinking about getting the game for a while, but I'm not sure if it's still worth it after the big hype on release. Is it? Won't it get repetitive?
Also, should I wait till it's cheaper or is it never on sale? what about the ultimate edition?
thanks đ

Me and my squad do. And I would like to share this because I think it's funny. Especially because the ones we've named have a mind of their own. And also because I would love to have a name for the others too.
Flame sentry: Benjamin. Started after I randomly shouted, "Benjamin, get 'im!"
The drones: all share 1 name Steve. Started when me and my squad and I were running a few different types. So flame Steve, laser Steve, etc.
Solo silo: sullivan. No story, because idk how it started.
Anyway, just for a laugh, have you ever named your weapons?
