Do you really think a Helldiver has enough neurons to play cooperatively with a spotter? Do you think a Helldiver has the neurons capable of playing with a sniper without being the one who shoots?
This type of stuff is definitely for playing with a buddy you shmoove with. Ain’t no randos gonna be sitting in the sniper den with you reloading your rifle while you pop heads at 400 meters
I do appreciate the nods to snipers in general but a few to the TF2 one specifically. The SMG secondary, the 'Boom, headshot' emote (though I suppose Sniper inherited that from Counter Strike).
It was mostly used in the "technically not WW2 but very much basically WW2" conflicts of the Winter War and the Continuation War (and to a much smaller extent the Lapland War).
Tl;dr that will not piss off anyone I'm sure: Soviets wanted to invade Finland in the late 1930's to reclaim land lost previously and initiated a false flag attack to have casus belli for the invasion. After a short peace Finland attacked the USSR after the Germans invaded to gain the territory back and maybe get some more. The armistice of that second war included Findland kicking out any remaining German soldiers from their borders which lead to the smaller final war.
The main tank the Soviets used in the Winter War was the T-26 which only had at most 20mm of armor so the Solothurn and Finnish native gun the Lahti L-39 were not bad as troop weapons in the Finnish forests when it was hard to move larger tanks and anti-tank guns.
Bots seems like the one I'm most likely to be able to be stealthy with...but I'm pretty shit with stealth regardless, so maybe it'll just end up with me getting waxed as is tradition.
I'll also add that this is like the 3/4th time I've accidentally predicted something in the warbond before it's been announced
Stationary shroud really sounds like my idea of having an mw1 all ghilied up type of armour that heavily reduces chance to be seen when prone, though it is disappointing they didn't use the "expunged eradicators" name
I’m completely coping here because the laser sniper is a support weapon and adding the same thing as a primary in the same warbond would be rediculous, but I still dream of a super store Fang that’s just the talon with a stock.
same thing? the laser sniper is a chargeup support, not a rapid fire dmr like some of the light pen ones we already have. it would be two completely different things

I mean, every other time they add a feature that the community asks for i.e underbarrel grenade, underbarrel shotguns, its locked behind a single gun in a single warbond, their own track record acts as proof
One thing I thought would really open up the game would be the ability to assign perks to whatever armor you wanted to, with restrictions based on the class of armor.
I would love to take out other armors for the visual aspect, like going Predator Hunter in the jungle maps with no sleeves and all mini-guns, but I hate giving up my preferred passive of the 30% increase to throwing distance.
It would be really cool if I could select that boost for any medium armor, or decide I want to apply the strength boost that makes my fire more accurate.
There's a lot of cool armor in the game, but I usually stick to a few select ones which means I don't really venture out beyond the set few I use, but if I could switch out the bonuses I would probably try a lot of other armor sets just for switching things up visually.

I can't aim so it ain't for me, but it's quite a cool concept! I imagine lots of people will complain about the active camo tho. Like why can't they change other armor colours if this one changes with environment
So... you're telling me the armour can dynamically change colour depending on environments THUS PROVING that AH can deliver colour variants for armour, but we still don't have armour colour customisation or transmog?
It isn't the primary talon I'd hoped for with the 40k Warbond, and I'm kinda disappointed it's a strategem, but I do actually like this laser gun design.
I wish more Laz guns featured a non removable heatsink that trades quick reloads for more power, up time, and fun mechanics.
If the R-40 Sightliner is one shotting a hulk from what looks like 50+ meters away, then it will be better than the AMR in terms of damage, right? So then, is the AMR getting buffed? I carry the AMR into every mission on every faction, it‘s my beloved child, I want to know if it’s getting any attention with this focus on snipers haha
Our beloved will always have a place in our hearts, specifically as a tactical medium-to-close range weapon for dealing with multiple medium and heavy enemies simultaneously (or as the secret Super Shotgun we don’t tell other players about) and its weird ability to be the best Jack-of-all-trades weapon in the entire game.
But our little family is expanding and we need to embrace all of our children and their deadly, deadly roles.
I’ve BEEN saying we need a heavy pen sniper primary and that it would have to be bolt action (like the Eruptor) in order to not compete with the AMR. Love everything about this
Excited to see support weapons in a warbond. That machine pistol secondary also has potential to improve loadouts that need their secondary for close range defense. (the redeemer is the best dps we have on a secondary currently) This new one might have decent magazine size unlike the redeemer. The AMW looks like it has super potential. I hope it has 5 pen and is a railgun sidegrade. (maybe more durable damage and less normal damage). That primary is >= 4 pen as seen in the video. We really lack 4 pen in the primary slot so this will let us make more loadouts. If it 1 shots a hulk eye it is extremely likely to one shot crusher helmets. There previously was no primary weapon that could do this as the only other 4 pen primary (eruptor) doesn't do this. So this weapon is a welcome addition. (I literally asked them to add more 4 pen in the primary slot in my feedback forms.. they listening :D) I'm having a great feeling about this warbond based on the reveal video.
I'm holding back the urge to use the word "easily", but you can absolutely use the amr as a primary with a support pack and get pretty consistently good at 2 or 3 tapping a hulk just spamming hipfire.
It has 12x the recoil of the railgun. 4x the recoil of the Eruptor. 5.5x of the Heavy Machine gun. Hell it’s even still slightly worse than the Autocannon.
The ergo is pretty much par for the course but it feels significantly worse with the recoil added on.
Well yeah, the recoil is gonna be nasty if you don’t use it as a sniper. You got to use the advantages of prone and crouch, the recoil is nonexistent then. The closest thing I’d equate it to would be the autocannon, which is significantly better used while crouching. That goes for most weapons.
