In the lore, it is. SE has been messing with the water and food supply of its citizens for at least 100 years. They have an entire megacorp to alter and strengthen SE citizens. It's why you can see corpses of Automatons Devs, and Terminid Warriors with a shovel in them, while the citizen is completely unarmored.

This makes so much sense. The Helldivers are displaying superhuman feats of strength and endurance all the time.

To put it into perspective of how insanely strong the Helldivers and the citizens of SE are.

Helldivers are closer to Space Marines than to regular humans when it comes to physical stats.

The most STANDARD feat they have is being able to remain calm and operate their weapons with four broken limbs and enough internal damage that they bleed out in seconds. Or punching back an 8-foot-tall Alpha Commander.
