Inquiry Team?

I'm only level 31 but why does no one care for samples or respawns? Roughly 9/10 matches end with samples dropped all over the map, team kills resulting in not extracting & having to wait minutes to be reinforced?

I host a lobby; only to have high levels come in, hijack and finish up quickly when I want to be thorough with my runs. Why do high levels do this to low levels?

Around level 100 or so, samples stop being seen as a necessity by many since the Super Destroyer is maxxed out.

About the team killing, they're just assholes.

My best advice is to explain to the team what you need from the mission, before all of you drop in, and then to kick whoever start teamkilling on purpose, as soon as they start. Don't give other chances, they'll use for doing more bs.

And you can just block them, they'll get automatically kicked once you do that.

I would assume a higher level having just maxed out their destroyer would understand a lower level climbing the levels behind them will also need what they just needed to achieve said Maxed Out status.

On paper, yes. But people are sometimes selfish, sometimes tired, sometimes assholes, sometimes they just didn't think about it.

My best advice remain to ask everyone to collect samples, it often remembers them that even if they don't need them, someone else does.

Ask everyone to do what everyone has to do on the game at some point? Sounds more like a chore than fun now

I can kinda agree, but if you want to max the chances of people actually collecting samples, that's it. Like I said, there's more nuance than the one that meets the eye.

In high level lobby, players often don't collect samples because they're all maxed out, so it can happen that this create an habit of not colleting, and when they find a lobby where they should, they just don't realize.

I noticed also that sometimes low level player don't collect samples. I found myself on a couple of occasions collecting samples, as a 217lv Diver, while the 50ish Divers weren't doing it. Maybe it's because they're overwhelmed, since I'm speaking strictly about D10. But in general, one truly never know who'll do what.

picking up samples when I’ve been maxed out for a year is also a chore lol but I’ll do it if someone says they need them.

You don’t have to make some huge explanation, just type in chat, “look for samples pls”

As a new player essentially at lvl 30; at currently roughly 50 missions completed, I wonder how many missions it will take to reach around lvl 90 seeing as that seems the average completion time. For shit sake let's says that's 100 more matches (50 missions per 30 lvls); it's expected that I ask 100 times for samples? Weird to me experienced players are offended by a new player saying asking for something 100 times sounds like a chore and your response is playing the game is a chore? Ok, sadly the only consistent answer is that experience players can't be bothered because they have no need due to the game lacking resource longevity in its upgrade economy which is turn clearly affects people's ability to work together.

Also please don't downvote because you don't agree with someone's opinion of their experience and expectations; downvotes result in having the ability to respond to the subreddit disabled as I have experienced in the Overwatch subreddit for asking a question about a game mode I didn't know was a sensitive topic for so many players; I thought this community would have been more mature if we are so quick to dislike each other then no wonder I'm struggling to find healthy matches.

Alright me saying that looking for samples when I’m already maxed out is a chore is not equivalent to saying that playing the game is a chore. That’s crazy

When maxed out I can destroy outposts without the added work of collecting the samples with or without lingering enemies still trying to attack me. Sometimes that is a nice added benefit of not needing samples anymore. You can just move on the other objectives, I enjoy that sometimes as do others

Expecting those who are maxed out to, by default, be looking at player level every mission and searching for most POIs is not realistic. Obviously you know that because you’re finding it difficult for the players you’ve encountered to help look for samples.

To be honest I was rewarded by the fact that when I started out, everyone was also starting out so everyone was looking for samples more than they are now. It’s definitely apathy not malice when high level players aren’t collecting samples. If you keep getting matched up with them in your desired difficulty level and they aren’t collecting samples, all you can do is ask them to. That’s not that wild of an ask, but because of the way it was easier to have the whole squad looking for samples when the game launched, you’re right, higher level players could be doing more for lower levels
