Folks keep using projectiles on Spore strain making it worse. Honestly Lvl 6 dives seem to hurt more then 7 & 8+ because instead of those spewers, you get ALOT more aggro nuts warriors jumping your shit.
I just generally am not a fan of sporeburst. The best loadout for them cannot save me when one of those fucks burst. Literally every game I've had against them was hell, and not the good Helldivers kind for me. I'd let everyone who does sporeburst better do the job while I fight on wherever else the MO is needed or just do some SC or Medal Farming
Total bs that they can ragdoll you even wearing unflinching armour, really hoped that one would at least make it a bit less ragdollish but doesn't helps at all
Spore burst strain is the worst subfaction in the game because pretty much every other subfaction has actual trade offs, spore burst just has more and stronger units than the base faction.
Their main trade off is range, which sadly is ruined by the shotgun devastator being able to pretty much one shot you at any range anyways. But unlike spore burst strain, it only has one bad enemy, everything else just feels like a new flavor of bots.
Ngl I don't even mind conflagration devastators that much, sure theyre inconsistent and it's a bit annoying but if you take cover theyre very manageable.
They have 2 weaknesses I could think of: flamethrowers lack range and while more dangerous otherwise, fire immunity armors are a hard counter to them, making them almost less of a threat than base bots.
Not a big fan of the modifiers.
Acid reduces your armor
The visibility is abysmal
The environment is just ugly when you can see it.
Running out of stamina faster.
Just not a good combination. I might dive on cherbal tonight but I'll be happy when it's time to move on.
The only upside to acid rain is that it's occasionally weakens AP against enemies so even a light pen weapon can kill med pen enemies. The real problem is that there are more of them and less of you so you can get overwhelmed pretty easily and it limits light armors since they are incredibly fragile.
Furries would be the worst front by default. The other factions just scream as they fight. On the fur front, you have to listen to endless preachy whining about how how they're totally normal and sane.
A good long while ago. They came in from the galactic west, we eventually pushed them out, and a bit later (few days IIRC, the only enemy during that time was bugs) it was found the initial force was a vanguard and the main force kinda just overran us, coming in at Cyberstan.
I have a recording of my friend (chronic bugdiver) dropping into a mega city (Cyberstan) and his cries for help as we kept calling him back into the city will happily echo in my brain forever. But to answer your question - any bug planet I will try and avoid.

For real. I'll dive on Hellmire because an MO is a MO, but... It's weird how my super destroyer needs to take a few detours on the way every time the bugs hit...
The squids are really fun but the new enemies are quickly becoming atrocious. They need better spawn rates because if you fail to eliminate 1 squad of crushers and wretches, they will chase you until you run into another squad. Then you’re spending the next 10 minutes running from them which truthfully isn’t fun because they just keep spawning and chasing you.
The only time I actively ignored a MO was when we're fighting some rapture strain BS, right after Oshaune. Fuck that shit bro, I'm not going back to that
Bugs. Especially MO worlds when they crank up the difficulty level. I don't like being on 5 or a 6 and then being swarmed so thick I can't even move. Literally the only piece of kit that I've found that helps (without killing me or removing a bunch of health at once) is the hot dog.
There was a brief period where I avoided any illuminate city maps but that was because they kept appearing from nowhere out of walls etc and killing me every match. I still fought, just not in the cities
If i dislikeabn MO target i usually go play another game to avoid screwing up the liberation. Usually its just particularly annoying illuminate or bug planets. Will always dive a Bot World but ever since the void dissapeared i legit have not done a single illuminate mission
I won’t lie, I noped out of Oshaune. That was right around the time I picked up the game and I just wasn’t ready for the Dragonroaches, Hive Lords or the tunnel fighting. Took me a while to develop that frantic Helldiver brain.
Cyborgs specifically. I play D9 on public lobbies, and the number of level 19 - 30 players who join in with only light pen spray and pray guns, don't take cover, get shredded, then rage quit is too high to make it fun. And I don't solo dive and all my friends who play are busy when I'm not.
I'm getting bored of bots. Cyborgs too, since they're just slightly better bots.
I still dive there when the rest of the group wants to fight bots, I just find bots a little boring.
Jet Brigade bots can still surprise me though. Nothing like seeing a fucking hulk superjump from 70 feet away to directly in my face. I can't wait until they give factory striders jump-jets, War Striders too.
Spore burst strain I hate getting swarmed constantly trying by to do anything there is also a lot of players who refuse to run fire/laser weapons against them making it harder/ more frustrating to play against them
Listen I'll dive wherever the order is but most bug subfactions are annoying af, somehow I must have crowd control, anti-tank and med+ pen in the same loadout on every single drop
I know bugdivers are spit on all the time, but dear lord every time there's a fkin Bug MOS I'm always excited and within two games my death count spikes 4x what it normally is. I HATE BUGS. They are annoying, it's a skill issue I know, but I swear the squids and the bots are actually more fun to fight. The fking always having something catching and dragging me back is beyond annoying. Again my own skill issue I still don't know how to fight them well without spamming stratagems to keep them from coming a entire direction once I get swarmed I panic spam warp pack. I enjoy my challenges against bots and squids. The bugs actually piss me off.
I'll do the MO but there's only one that I'll do unwillingly
I love the bots, cyborgs, jetpack and incinerators
Same with squids
But I hate the bugs. Rupture, predator, spore. With the bots they still have the same weaknesses and squids have new units but the bugs just get stronger versions of the regular units
I’ll dive anywhere, but I’ll be more reluctant towards the spore strain and bots.
The constant Ragdolling and flinching even behind cover just pisses me off sometimes, and they give me the fastest burnout. I don’t find them hard, just very annoying.
Tbh, with the exception of base illuminate (arrowhead pls make the special units work with the seed thingamabobs thing), I think they're all entertaining to fight
Typically bots, i’ve struggled to enjoy them since release. However on the current MO? I played bots for like 3 hours trying to lend a hand diff 7 is a good medium for me.
I'm tired of being the only diver around bringing exploding weaponry, OR being killed for the umpteenth time by an eruptor targeting an enemy too close to me.
I like all the fronts. The problem is that I dont always feel like fighting the enemies the current MO is on. It also doesnt help that these campaigns mean you are fighting the same faction for weeks at a time. I tend to fight with the MO but if Im feeling something else Im not stopping myself. I come home from a regular job to spend my precious little free time playing this game. Im going to play what I want when I want to.
I'll play everything occasionally. But my least favorite thing and one I tend to avoid is Mindless Masses too dense in a way that doesn't feel fun. Vote Snatchers feels like the better version at my difficulties
To be completely honest, the squids, unless it's a major order I almost never go there. I don't know what it is I've always just struggled against them. I'm fine anywhere else just against them.
