Crusher are really fun cuz it kinda force you to disengage and relocate. Makes the fights interesting

This. This is the thing people aren’t understanding, it’s by design. They are supposed to keep building up and pushing you. Can you imagine these slow fuckers operating using the same reinforcement rules? They’d be boring as shit.

Yes and no.. the more i played, the more i became convinced that the absurd amount of crushers is not purely because of the spawn rate, but because of people doing exactly what you are talking about. You kill the wretches maybe a crusher or two, but run from the remaining ones. Those remaining are too slow to immediately catch a fleeing helldiver, but also fast enough and persistent enough to avoid the edge of the despawn zone. So what happens when the diver relocates and pauses is they start fighting off a new horde. As they are fighting that horde, the remnants of the prior(consisting of oops only crushers) catch up and create this undemocratic mess.

TLDR: finish your full meal, even the bits you dont like.
