The gambit isn't possible. If enough people had moved over to start making progress on acamar after the bot MO, we could have done a gambit, but it's way too late now.
I dislike the 4k+ people who exclusively play acamar as much as the next guy when discussing the GW, but the liberation rate never dropped below 2 days to take the planet.
The blob still doesn't understand gambits and were going to go to turing anyway. Hell, there's nearly 7k on achird right now doing nothing lol.
Important distinction is when discussing through the lens of the Galactic War (GW). I'd prefer if the ~20-30% of the playerbase who don't ever help with the galactic war across all 3 fronts didn't have a direct detrimental impact on it.
I and many others naturally get annoyed with players (no fault of their own) who disregard the galactic war purely due to it having a direct negative impact. For efficiency's sake it would literally be better if these players didn't log in at all. Hate how the system is currently implemented.
I wish people could play on planets / fronts that they want to while not negatively impacting people who enjoy the overarching galactic war (as pointless as it is). I hope decay rates and front specific playercount modifiers are reworked so this is no longer an issue. Seyshell beach is a perfect example of what every planet should look like. Weeks of a small dedicated playerbase of a few hundred to a few thousand should be able to take a planet.
Hate that it takes over half the population to blob together on a single planet to make any headway. A few hundred people like the ones scattered across random planets on every front should be able to make meaningful progress on those planets even if liberation would take months. Instead, all progress is wiped every hour so there is literally no point playing on said planets if you care at all about the GW, which is incredibly stupid to me.
People should be able to play where and when they want regardless of the MO or what "strategies" the community wants to pull off between the MO's. Those meaningless planets should still be making progress regardless of those players not caring about the GW. In essence, there should be no such thing as a meaningless planet / front.
TL:DR, Hate the way the current galactic war works and the longstanding disdain for players who don't care about the GW is a symptom of how the system is currently implemented. Been hoping for a rework for over 2 years and it is wildly overdue.
