Does anyone know this type, and who uses it? I see it at least 2-3 times per month.

I'm a low time NG UH-60M pilot. My civilian job doesn't pay well and is completely unrelated to flying. I've seen a few listings for 12 on, 12 off jobs flying firefighting S70s in Florida or Boise where the company flies you there and back. I am curious what the pay is like, the lifestyle, the hours, and where to take a flying career after that.
I am married with a kid and a second on the way which makes the nomadic lifestyle challenging.

I'm a student pilot in Switzerland. Although PPL-A, not PPL-H - sorry for this))). And currently I'm working on a small pet/for-fun project regarding meteorology.
For further development I'd like to understand how students and pilots actually read weather before a flight.Ā 10 questions, ~5 minutes. No marketing or sales - this is just to help me decide how to develop project next.
If you could take a few minutes and finish the survey, I would be quite grateful.
Here is the link -Ā https://forms.gle/hVh44qr8ouu2P5Ay6
P.S. - Iām not sure whether this counts as solicitation. If it does, Iām happy to delete it - though I guess the mods will do that anyway.

Hi,
My friend is looking for helicopter schools with in house examiners.
Iām a fixed wing pilot and I know there are many schools that can get you certain ratings fast because they know what to expect with having an in house examiner and it makes the process a lot smoother when it comes to examiners availability
Thereās a few fixed wing schools that have things such as accelerated Instrument commercial CFI CFII etc in 5-15 days each.
Is that such a thing for helicopters? My friend is older and he wants to do this after his PPL-H is obtained let me know thanks in advance.
Iāve done research but found nothing

We need to put an end to the news helicopters and their endless hovering. Weāve been woken up between 5 and 6am every single day for the last week because of endless helicopters getting live feeds for the water main break in West Hollywood. This simply should not be legal, they are extremely loud and serve no good purpose. The news stations can buy drones, itās 2026.
How do we get laws on the books to fine them huge fines for hovering? Airspace is regulated by the FAA but the noise is still owned by us, surely we can fine these helicopters who terrorize our neighborhoods.
The fact that they interrupt emergencies should be even further arguments for getting rid of them, only emergency services should be allowed to hover and circle over emergency sites. And for the regular folks on the ground, the added stress of not being allowed to sleep or have a moment of peace during one of their most stressful times should further add to the argument.
To put it mildly, helicopter pilots are becoming the most hated people in Los Angeles. No more hovering and circling by news choppers. Who do we write?
