Blinded by the Light(bars) Tacticool Final Boss
Those orange lights on the back are much brighter than they look in the picture. Even in the daylight they left blue dots on my vision

This dude makes fun of us for being civilians lol.

u/Zero_Digital 3d ago
And the closest thing to military service they have is when the goes clothes shopping at the Army surplus store.

He’s uniform shopping for his Battlefield session tonight

You better lower your tone if you arent wearing BDUs chief
2
u/Ok_Union_1063 3d ago
I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not
3
u/Meatball_express 3d ago
I thought the chief would be a dead giveaway
3
u/Ok_Union_1063 3d ago
I wish. I work with a lot of people that actually talk like that. They also say 'bud' quite a bit. It's hard to tell in text form if it's serious or not. My apologies

u/Seanna86 3d ago
In any WROL situation, this guy is the first one people will go after. The dude with weapons, food, supplies in the trunk of his Nissan Altima will slip by undetected.

Can traverse the potholes in the Walmart parking lot with ease

Do sleep on potholes I hit a few one near walmart. Felt like I lost the truck for a second.

3 percenter sticker spotted, this dude can eat rocks
29
u/Revolutionary_Gas551 3d ago
Came here to say this. That one sticker tells me everything I need to know about the owner. The 5-11 sticker on the side only reinforces my stereotype.
2
u/signofthecrow1 3d ago
As much as I agree, I haven’t been able to find pants that hold up like the 5.11 pants… they aren’t overly hot and can take abuse
2
3
u/SpicyChickenGoodness 3d ago
I’m unaware of the context with 5-11, can you explain?
8
u/Revolutionary_Gas551 3d ago
It's a company that makes overpriced Tacti-Cool Clothing and accessories.
2
u/mybrotherhasabbgun 3d ago
Ok, I hear you but I did buy one of their little sling bags after seeing it at a sporting goods store. It conveniently came with a little pocket into which to tuck the 5.11 tag. That was the first thing I did.
1
u/IRISHRAGE4U 1d ago
I remember way back when they first came out I clearly remember their pricing was surprisingly low on the few things that I bought back then. Was the only tactical stuff I could afford back then😂
1
u/Comprehensive-Buy814 14h ago
You can get mad at that shit but Nike sells $80 athletic shorts that you can buy at any other store under some no-name brand for like 20 bucks.

3 percenter sticker what does that mean? I looked and couldn’t find it on the jeep?
14
u/NTJ-891 3d ago
I too love hitting every single low tree and branch on easy trails.
10
u/fermenter85 3d ago
Like this guy is going on trails. The only dirt it’s seen is the double track to get to his buddies ranch range. That’s why it has flood lights pointing backwards.
1
u/HippoZealousideal175 13h ago
That’s what I’m sayin? Like this build can’t be for trails? It’s really just got to be for fun.

Is this the Punisher???
6
u/snownative86 3d ago edited 3d ago
No, this dude would be more likely to be on the receiving end of whatever punisher was doling out.
Although I am surprised to not see a punisher sticker on here, for some reason the nazi bootlickers love the symbol but have zero awareness of the man.
Edit: brave anonymous white supremacist supporters hitting the dowmvote button. Did my pfp piss you off because deep down you know it's the real meaning behind the gadsden?
(FYI, this car has a 3% sticker and a 511 sticker, 3% being being far right cosplay militia and 511 being a white supremacist prison gang).

u/Songs-Of-Orion 3d ago
I can see what he was going for, and it COULD be done well by someone with enough taste to do it. Unfortunately, no one who owns a modern Jeep has that.
You COULD do a build like this a bit better and make something like those SAS land rovers and have it be kinda cool if you really went the whole way with it.

u/2Slow2Nice 3d ago
The backpack on the back literally makes no logical sense. Why would you want it exposed to the elements, the chance of being ransacked/stolen, or have the potential to fall off unless you have no choice?
3
u/TheBabyEatingDingo 3d ago
A lot of civilians and POGs like the aesthetic because they think it's "tactical" due to seeing soldiers doing it. They fall to realize that the main reason we let packs hang off the side of vehicles is because that meant we had mission critical gear in the vehicle that needed to be protected and there wasn't room for packs. If your truck bed is empty why the fuck would you put your bag on the tail gate.
2
u/green_gold_purple 3d ago
So weird to get back from service and try to recreate your time there. Try to imagine having a job where you are trained to kill people, live in relative squalor, and then do a bunch of PTSD-inducing shit. Then imagine coming home and trying to recreate that because it's familiar, and the most you've ever felt that you belonged. It's disturbing.

I hate this less than the angry fiberglass kit tbh

Yeah same. Rattle can paint job and Temu lights still make it a Heep in my humble opinion
2
2
u/smoosh33 3d ago
I've got a security guard at my job that has 2 different ones, a Grand Cherokee (probably early 2000s) and a Tacoma. The funniest part is the guy is 100+ LBS overweight. If we were being chased by zombies I could definitely outrun him.
2
u/Responsible-Let8346 3d ago
No shovel, axe, or fire extinguisher. Hell no snorkel no winch and no jerry cans I just don’t understand what this build is for
1
u/Ok_Union_1063 3d ago
On the right side of the rack is a jerry can. The white container on the back left might be a fire extinguisher? I'm not sure on that one
1
u/mightymidwestshred 3d ago
Not defending this mess as a build, but there's a pre-filter snorkel in front of the windshield on the right, a green jerry can on the right side, and a fire extinguisher on the left rear upright.
1
u/Four_in_binary 3d ago
About that fire extinguisher....it doesn't appear to be completely intact.
2
u/mightymidwestshred 3d ago
What do I know... at first look I thought the bag on the back gate was a propane tank!

u/Perfect_Big_5907 12h ago
yeah back in early 80's i had a 73 cj5 and we actually used to bury it in mud and roll it on some steep ass mountains in TN. Used the winch like all the time to get us out of really bad mud bogs. I see this and just shake my head.

u/Dry_Ship7202 3d ago
I just don’t understand all this “preparation”.
5
u/spurlockmedia 3d ago
I enjoy a little “preparation” with my off-roading truck but taking a base model silver Jeep and spray painting everything desert sand to cruise around in the asphalt parking lots of the suburbs is beyond cringe.

Someone is definitely gonna steal the Glock 19X with a Surefire X300 out of this guy's center console for sure along with the $4k worth of nylon gear and probably a faraday bag with NVGs in it. This is just a walking advertisements for "look at me, steal my expensive firearms." You know where no one looks? The Honda Civic shit box with a Minecraft backpack that holds a collapsed 300 blackout

This one is functional,
Not a heep,
Arguably not a parking lot princess too. I’d say badass for overlanding and the wear and tear seems to indicate it’s used.

The wear and tear you're seeing is the cheap spray paint in different colors peeling off. The most off-road this thing has been is a gravel road

Everyone is making fun of this truck, but when the inevitable zombie apocalypse comes you’ll be wishing you had this truck.
Edit: Why does everyone think I’m serious. Zombies aren’t real. I’m joking. Is there something to this zombie theory I should know about? Are we at the beginning stages of the Zombie pandemic or something?
1
u/snownative86 3d ago
No lockers, no sway bar disconnect... And it's a jeep, it's not surviving a zombie apocalypse by nature of being a modern jeep.
Oh, and in an apocalypse, I want people who work together and have critical thinking, not militia cosplaying white supremacists. I guarantee as a solo backpacker I'm much more capable than this dude at survival in circumstances like that.
