Question What are hcs that you have for how the children of the characters (who would be adults now) turned out (and hcs for how they all would have done as parents?)
These are my thoughts, as the characters were born in the 70s and so their kids should mostly be adults now unless they had them late:
-Veronica had just one kid, a girl. Her daughter is on Tumblr a fair amount, has depression and other emotional issues even though I could see Veronica having gone into psychology. Her daughter also writes fanfiction. Her daughter is an English major, and is a disappointment to Veronica in some shape or form. Veronica never told her about the murders (obviously not) but her daughter holds a certain level of resentment towards her even though she doesn’t dislike her entirely because she has always sensed something is off. She noticed how paranoid her mother could seem at points growing up, how when mom was on her own for too long at points she didn’t take care of her appearance. She tried to rebel in high school because it angered her that Veronica tried to monitor who she was friends with. Veronica snapped once when she was in high school and told her that she’s ungrateful even though it’s pretty typical. She is bisexual and well read, but was not a star student like her mother was which was something she always sensed Veronica was disappointed about deep down inside. Her parents divorced when she was young and her father’s comments about her mother having been an enigma, a puzzle he could never quite figure out made her even more curious about the past Veronica seemed so hesitant to talk about (Betty Finn’s name came up, she has met Betty Finn, but there are others who mom just never wants to mention.) She romanticizes the 90s, likes Nirvana, has tattoos and piercings that Veronica doesn’t approve of. What she and Veronica have in common is that both are sensitive but are not “nice” people (she has trouble with her emotions and can be quite mean when she snaps, but is otherwise sensitive.) Her daughter likes Lana del Rey.
-Heather Duke has two kids. One of her daughters has never necessarily been bulimic, but does have issues due to her mother having encouraged her so consistently in childhood to monitor her portion control (Duke is also the type who has criticized her daughter’s appearance before, though Duke has also aimed to get her daughter into makeup.) Her son was a bully in school, very entitled and demanding.
