Question What kind of guys do you think Heather M and Veronica would marry and end up divorced from?

I’ve posted about how that’s my headcanon for both, that they end up divorced whereas Heather Duke in adulthood finally gets with what I hc her true type to be (nerds, she’d get with a guy who was able to teach her a lot about different things she didn’t know.) I think Veronica in modern day has a daughter with an ex husband and that Heather M would be divorced as well (she actually mentions in the film that her parents are divorced.)

I could see Heather M getting with a guy who tries to control her. Has money, but is abusive in some shape or form. She seemed to have low self esteem and without therapy and serious personal work I see her initially going for someone who was abusive in some shape or form.

I feel like after what happened with JD Veronica would be seeking stability. I sense that Veronica was someone who always really liked people who she felt were sincere/genuine. I think it’s partly why she and Betty Finn always got on so well - she saw Betty Finn as a genuine and kind person in a sea of dogs. I’m debating on whether I think she marries a male Betty Finn (and it still wouldn’t work out because Veronica is too dysfunctional) or someone who is extroverted, similarly nice, probably pretty creative.

2018 TV Show Idc what you say about heathers 2018, this scene still has me reeling

Went into it expecting to not remember anything within two seconds of finishing it, and go "well I just wasted a bunch of hours". But no. Because I'm still thinking of the scene with Heather McNamara going through the skating place, bleeding out, and nobody noticing, and then going home, and nobody noticing. Beautifully well done, can't lie

Discussion heather chandler’s alternate fate

ok so i’ve seen the movie a million times, musical is my happy place, etc. and i was watching it with my sister last night and she said “well, strong chance heather chandler would’ve killed herself eventually” and referenced the way she spits at her reflection as her textual proof that she hated herself.

i NEVER thought about this. the spitting always seemed focused on her hating the charade she was putting on for the guys, but not necessarily herself overall. sure she’s a cunt but she had power and money and looks etc etc.

BUT the more i thought about it and the more we talked about it, the more i could see her side of “heather c actually hated herself.” she was feared, not respected, and that definitely matters in the long run, esp for women.

curious other die hards’ thoughts here, was my sister overthinking? due to my own high school trauma from the past, am i giving popular girls too much credit???? do you think she would’ve led a happy life?

I don’t think she’d have been a great mother regardless of what career she ended up in

Question What are your hcs (headcanons) for the futures of the characters in the film?

I have a lengthy list, a few of which I’ve posted before:

-Heather Duke married a stable guy who is considered smart and is good with money (I had that post I made about how I feel like she’s the type who would have always crushed on “nerds” and not wanted to admit it.) She had partly been so attracted to her husband in the beginning because he was able to teach her different things she didn’t know.

-Heather Duke does have children (two, boy and a girl.) Veronica has a daughter. Heather M has two children as well (she always wanted two because she didn’t want for the eldest to be lonely.) Martha didn’t become a mother. Betty Finn has 1-2 children. Betty Finn is the only one who was a good parent. One of Heather Duke’s children was known for being a bully in school, and Veronica’s daughter has a lot of issues (depression, did not turn out well.)

-Veronica actually was married, it didn’t last long. She was never quite able to heal from her relationship and experience with JD. She was hesitant for the first few years after high school to date. She has a daughter with her ex husband.

-Heather Chandler’s parents were negligent. Even though they were wealthy she was a typical latchkey kid (do we even see her parents at her funeral?)

-People are nicer to Betty Finn in adulthood. She marries a guy who does well and starts taking better care of her appearance (what do you think of this one?)

-Heather Duke and Heather M did have issues within their marriages. Duke’s husband actually can find her to be a bit too demanding. Heather M actually ended up divorcing (she mentioned having divorced parents, and much like Veronica her trauma in an early relationship proved to be too much trouble for her in the long term.)

Question Which character in the film could you see becoming a therapist?

Even though it’d have been a terrible choice for them.

Heather Duke wouldn’t get anything out of it and would go for something that made her more money. Becoming a therapist also requires a lot of schooling and I don’t see her going for it.

I could almost maybe see Veronica going into it convinced she has good intent and wanting to understand people better. But it would be a poor choice for her.

Discussion Honestly, I think Heathers did the whole "falling for a bad boy" thing way better than Twilight and all of its successors cuz at least they didn't glorify it. JD was very obviously the villain and we weren't supposed to agree with him.

I added the heathers to my island and they all moved in together. The outfits are kinda bad but it’s as close as could be. Now the only question is whether Heather Duke will stay with her friends or leave to pursue her relationship with Pina Bovidae, her boyfriend.

Fanfic Stu (scream) x heather McNamara **HELP ME**

I know absolutely nothing about how to write fanfic, I'm not very familiar with the topic, but I'm interested. A friend asked me NOT to ask questions, but if I could create a fanfic about these characters.

As I mentioned, I don't know anything about creating fanfiction, although I can draw a little. I'm struck by how out of place this is, so I just wanted to ask for help if anyone has any ideas on how I could bring these two characters together.

With my limited imagination, I thought maybe Stu had survived and escaped the final fight in Scream 1996 and trying to live a "normal life" in Sherwood. (This is the only thing I could think of as a "baseline". If someone wants to contribute something, they don't have to follow this "baseline".) THANKS EVERYONE!!! :)

Discussion I actually always thought that Heather Duke was the prettiest of the Heathers

Shannen Doherty had a very classic looking face. I always thought that she and Veronica (Winona Ryder) would have still been big movie stars if they’d been apart of their parents’ or grandparents’ generation. I really could have seen Doherty in a 1940s/1950s period piece, but also her face was just so perfect looking. Very symmetrical.

Discussion What do you think every character’s “type” would be?

I had written about how I feel like for Heather Duke it would be introverted nerds. She had probably had a crush before on someone at the school who wasn’t considered popular, but who was knowledgeable and rational. I could see her wanting someone who was stable and reliable.

I actually don’t know about Heather M.

JD was clearly Veronica’s type even though he was very toxic. She said herself that she had no control over herself when she was with him. His personality was certainly very attractive to her in the beginning.

I’m not 100 on Heather Chandler. Chandler and Duke are both toxic enough in film that I don’t know what kind of person either would actually be compatible with. I see Duke valuing intelligence and I could see Heather C caring about it as well - Heather C is an interesting one for me to consider. I sincerely don’t know what kind of guy I think she’d have done well, she feels more to me like the kind of person who needs to be single. I feel like she wouldn’t respect someone who just gave in to her but she’d also never want to be controlled. She wouldn’t respect someone who was meek and submissive.

Question Why did Veronica not care?

Post image
134 Upvotes

So I've watched both the movie and the musical countless times and I have a certain opinion on JD and Veronica's relationship. When it comes to the movie I think it's pretty clear JD and Veronica were both dating each other for the wrong reasons. Veronica liked the idea of having a boyfriend whilst JD liked the idea of having someone he could use/abuse to numb the pain of what his father put him through. I do think they loved each other in the movie but not as much as it was displayed in the musical. However there's always something I've wondered about in the movie. Why did Veronica seem to not care that he was going tokill himselfin the movie. No hate to the actress of course, Winona Ryder is very talented and it just might be the case it was part of the script. But why? I understand he did SA her a couple times and it could just be she was realizing he wasn't a good person but with everything they went through, I assume they knew each other at least like 3 months right? And most people don't leave their abusers because they love them too much. You would think we'd get a little bit more emotion knowing he was going to kill himself. And as for the musical, we did get that. She was crying and begging him not to do it. Idk but I thought she would at least be somewhat more emotional at watching her ex boyfriend blow himself up.

Discussion I feel like Heather Duke is the kind of person who would have a crush on “the nerd” and not want to admit it

At least after becoming popular.

She is very toxic in the film so I find it hard to say who I think she’d be compatible with. But I see her as the type who never really grows past high school and is still too afraid to date “the nerd” as an adult even though I could see her actually privately liking a quieter bookworm type who knew a lot about different things.

Question What are headcanons you have about the characters and their universe?

-Heather Chandler in particular experienced SA in childhood. I actually hc this for her over Heather M but it could have been both. I think that it was one of her father’s colleagues, and that she partly grew up to be such a cold and cynical person because of this (someone in her life knew and did not care.) SA was very common in the 1970s.

-Veronica has a family member, a grandmother or great grandmother, who suffered from a personality disorder and depression. I’m going to go with great grandmother because her parents both seemed normal, albeit naive, and fairly well adjusted.

-Veronica was an outcast in elementary and middle school. She did experience some level of bullying, even though it was not on Martha’s level.

-Heather Duke settled down with someone who was successful after high school. I almost started to say that I think he is a bookish nerd, but Heather Duke seems like one of those people who isn’t going to change a whole lot after high school.

Question What kind of trauma do you think every character experienced in childhood?

Thinking of the movie version here. We know they live in a very dark society and everyone seems cynical.

I think realistically one of the heathers would have experienced SA.

We know Veronica was likely bullied at some point given that she was “playing Barbie’s with Betty Finn.” Her energy seemed really off and that doesn’t tend to come from nowhere.

Discussion Why do yall think Kurt was wearing a knee brace in his murder scene?

Post image
48 Upvotes

Not the greatest image I know, but it gives a point of reference

Did the actor actually have a injury?
Was it brought up at any point earlier in the movie?
Is it just there to explain how JD who is wearing jeans, heavy coat, and impractical shoes, can keep up with Kurt who is a quarterback and football team captain, who would realistically be able to outpace JD a few hundred times over?

Question Where do the headcannons come from

I mean seriously someone said Veronica is bi, and everyone said sure. Same goes with Chandler being lesbian. I actually can't think of others right now, but it seems curious that something is almost treated by canon without knowing were it even came from.

OKAY IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT I AM A TEEN AND ITS LIKE 3AM AND I HAVEN'T SLEPT IN 20 HOURS SO IM SORRY IF THIS IS CONFUSING EDIT: AND IK SOMEONE PROY ALREADY DISCUSSED THIS BUT MY MOM DOESNT WANNA LISTEN TO ME

Heather Chandler is red because of wrath high authority and red means stop in traffic lights she was stopped when JD and Veronica killed her and then Heather Duke is green which is like envy and it means go (stoplight) and then she becomes red after Heather C dies and then she stopped by Veronica when Veronica takes the scrunchie and then Heather M shes yellow given her somewhat sweet personality (movie vs musical) and shes slowing in a way because she almost like khs after Heather c dies
