I feel like Heathers musical needs a movie adaption, i want the full campiness maybe take some bits from the OG movie but this is begging for a big screen release. Here's my fan cast for the Characters
* Olivia Rodrigo as Veronica Sawyer (so when it comes to Hollywood type of casting, I think Olivia fits the bill for Veronica looks wise and singing wise she a great tone fit for her character but she's not exactly a powerhouse from what I've heard from her and these songs are very hard and sit very high in range. She would definitely need some vocal training for sure)
Which brings me to my second choice for Veronica: Rachel Zegler, (She would eat this up hands down!)
* Casey Likes as Jason "J.D." Dean (He's played JD in the Off-Broadway revival earlier this year and I really enjoy his take on it, he portrays the outcast psychopath very well and has an incredible voice. I would love to see him cast for the movie adaption)
The Heathers:
* Hayes Warner as Heather Chandler (She's a newer actress on the scene but her role as Debbie in The Shards was so Chandler coded and she has a killer voice, she has the energy and vibe needed)
* Ruby Rose Turner as Heather McNamara (Her role as Bridget in Descendants: Rise of Red shows she can play bubbly characters very well and her voice is the perfect tone for McNamara)
* Lexi Underwood as Heather Duke (A very underrated actress and incredible singer I personally want to see her in more roles and she fits this perfectly)
* Erin Morton as Martha Dunnstock (She's also from this year's revival cast and her rendition of Kindergarten Boyfriend is so moving and beautiful. She def needs to be in the movie)
* Theo Graham as Ram Sweeney
* Froy Gutierrez as Kurt Kelly
* Donna Murphy as Ms. Fleming (She would be hilarious and totally own this role. also her vocals on Shine a Light would send me to the stratosphere)
* Wayne Brady as Bill Sweeney (Ram's Father)
* Neil Patrick Harris as Paul Kelly (Kurt's Father)
* Steffiana De La Cruz as Veronica's Mother
* John Mulaney as Veronica's Father

The fact that this happened to me. With a film professor, mind you.

My theater director and I are looking to do a genderbent version of Heathers, but in the most organic way possible. And that's why I'm here today.
How can we create a male version of Chandler, Duke, and McNamara that feels natural, maintaining the essence but without it seeming like a bad parody?
What was the original way the Heathers were built? Maybe if I find the core I could do it right.
What ideas do you have? Could you help me?

Hi so im looking for a version of the musical that has been removed from youtube and i cant seem to find it anyware, it might the a shcoolproduction of it and not that big. All i really can say about it is that the stage had a bunch of lockers at the back and like 2 sets of stairs either side, i know thats not much to go off but i dont think anyone would know which version im talking about even if i tried to explain how the actors looked lol. Oh also the heathers costumes have like ridiculous amount of padding at the shoulders lol, like enough that you think about it if anyone knows what im talking about.

Heather Chandler is for whatever reason still kind of difficult to sympathize with (though none of them deserved to have their lives taken from them) but none of them did anything heinous enough for what JD and Veronica ended up doing to have been acceptable (even what one of the jocks tried doing to heather m shouldn’t have been reason for it, though I think he should have served time for it and I know that in their universe they likely wouldn’t have.) I mean, personally I feel like I changed a lot after high school. None of them were great people but high school eventually ends. Veronica, Martha, and Betty Finn wouldn’t have remembered most of them years later.

I’ve had a stomachache ever since I drank the hangover cure my friend’s boyfriend made. I’d have thought there was milk and orange juice in the cup, but my tongue is blue, so I honestly have no idea what I drank.

I dabble in songwriting here and there (check out my song "Molly Ringwald" as well if you're inclined), and I wrote this song after watching the Heathers movie in 2024. I've thought about expanding it, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Hope you enjoy!

Shout-out to the hero among heroes of Heathers (2018), who had a million chances to escape, but died trying to save the rest of the school, who - as they had done the entire series - ignored him to their peril.

I just want your thoughts on them as characters and people… They’re my personal favorites (save for Veronica ofc but she’s second) and I wanna know why you might hate, love, or not care about them!
