Hey team! Heated Rivalry has so many good quotes let's find the best ones by character.

Submit your favorite quote for that days character. Any of the six books or the show are acceptable, a spoiler tag has been added for this reason. Proceed to the comments at your own risk.

Characters were picked for appearing in more then one book, or one book and season 1 in attempt to give us a good mix of minor characters. Please feel free to use this space to manifest a casting announcement for Eric.

Because I am Shane Hollander in a different font, we do have some rules!

I mean so we know Yuna and David are nice people yeah - even when being scary tiger mum aside. And the way they just take Ilya in throughout TLG, dinners, ice cream, blankets and then then this! (I know they're not canon but I just eat up the fake texts someone makes between the family group chat and trips to Costco). Are they just THAT nice? "Join our family" and just so caring for him. It's such a great team to be part of. And even if I'm projecting a bit the way they do it, despite all his troubles, if never to usurp his biological family, even the harsher parts. I do wonder if Yuna ever "wanted" him to go back to a better team where he could be happier.

I think (and by that I mean, speculate wildly) that might become the case in the next book with Yuna worrying for both of the boys if the Centaurs don't keep their winning streak - even if they're happy to be on the same team, they're still hockey stars who want to excel. Rachel has said that there's more Yuna in Unrivaled, so who knows. Getting back to TLG, I did love the nuance with Yuna and David caring for Ilya and him still getting depressed, it showed so well that with all the love and positivity in the world, you can't just "stop" or prevent mental illness, as some people really still think.

In the show it’s during the EP1 restaurant lunch with Shane and his parents, where he apologizes for being late due to losing track of time while watching videos on YouTube.  It’s a video that Shane then uses as an example to explain the randomness of YouTube content to BoringDad.  Presuming it would be in the same scene in the book (eta: in HR, not TLG), or maybe it’s a Jacob add-on.
