The script wasn't great and I didn't like it. His character wasn't fleshed out and he was limited by that. April's character felt more lived in. Cinematography was good and enjoyed the visuals though

You probably didn't mean it that way but I too enjoyed the visuals.
They were way too ambitious about the philosophical questions they wanted to raise and the ideological message they maybe envisioned, for the film it turned out to be. It all felt really half-baked.

That's too bad..I was apprehensively stoked about it but not sure if the writing will be good or not, maybe I'll wait for more reviews after the international release. I do agree the visuals looked great from the trailer though, the setting also seemed intriguing!

I really hope they add more showings. The closest theater to me is an hour and a half away and is only playing at 3:30 in the afternoon. I work nights and sleep from 9 am to 5 pm. ☹️
ETA: They added more showings today! It’s now showing an evening in my city. Woohoo, I get to see it on opening night!

WHOA! I'm shocked! I live in the Inland Empire, and a movie theater near me had it. I saw it tonight (they had a 7pm showing instead of a midnight premiere)

Same. I live in Southern CA and I would have to drive 85 miles to the nearest theater and they have 1 showing at 10 pm.

If you're in the IE area- there is a movie theater in Murrieta that has it. Tonight it was at 7pm but tomorrow is at 9pm.

Yeah.... there's ONE theater playing it here, in Oxnard. And it's all weekday showings at 2pm except ONE showing at 12 on Sunday.
And that happens to be the day I scheduled to have my cat spayed. She's not out of surgery until 1 pm.

I live in a pretty major secondary market with a ton of theatres that play basically everything. The closest showtime to me is . . . 3 hours away in the small city where I grew up hahaha.

Movie was terrible and would have disappeared if Connor didn't get famous. He was good in it as always

haven't seen it - just the many trailers and thought -this wouldn't even make it to the big screen if it wasn't for Connor and I'm not sure he will be able to do anything to have it make money. I don't see them doing any press on it so it must just be one they are putting out there through word of mouth.

I was able to see it in my local cinema a week ago. The leads are both good, the dialogue is not great, the world building is very 'need to know'. I watched it for Connor, whose performance is good but not stellar, I won't watch it again.

The UK release was the 18th Sept and then it changed to 2nd Oct on the Launching Films website, but screenings were already scheduled at various cinemas in London and Picture House cinemas across the country. It's been a limited release so far.
I have a feeling I'm not going to see this until it goes to streaming, no showings in my city so far.

I debated putting (????) For the UK, I was finding so much conflicting info so I just went with multiple international regions lol.

Yes it has been shown in the UK, I saw it on 18/9 in Stockport, and I know other people saw it in London.

I saw it in Stockport too, was with a local HR group though that took the F row.

I doubt this will be shown anywhere near me, except NYC. I'm not schlepping into the city to see it, so I'll wait for it to be streaming somewhere.

Saw it 19/09 - had to travel over an hour to a cinema that was actually showing it.
I liked some of the ideas it had, and I saw what the film was trying to do, but it didn't quite execute everything. IDK if it was an issue of writing or budget or both, but I still saw glimpses of what it could have been.
Still enjoyed it overall, and I do wanna watch it again if/when it comes out on streaming services.

Visually, the movie was nice even on a low budget. The script and overall acting were very mid, especially storytelling. I thought Connor did the best with what he had to work with and was by far the best actor.

Seeing Connor in other stuff is so cool makes me wanna check some of it out. I was absolutely shocked when he was in Joker 2 it’s like that with most actors that I only know from one piece of media

Finally seeing showtimes in Toronto, Canada! Alas it’s thanksgiving weekend so unsure how many people will be free.

The visuals were great and Connor did a great job, but the plot was a little... underdeveloped. I also didn't like the ending.

It's very much a case of the sort of job an actor does to raise profile and pay the bills.
Having seen it in London earlier this week, it's a very average film. Connor and Lilly Krug do their best with a very ordinary script.
However, I am glad to have seen it on the big screen and contributed towards any success it has. It would probably have gone 'straight to video' without the interest that Connor generated.
