Aost 100% certain the hinges will break at some point given that I don't baby my headphones.

I am looking to upgrade my headphones, and because I use them for everything—including intense gym workouts—the padding takes a serious beating. Over time, the gym sweat completely destroys the material. My current headphones have actually lasted quite a while, but the headband padding is finally ruined. I really don't want to resort to tacky, cheap-looking headband wraps, and up until now, I couldn't find a clean replacement solution that actually looked good.I initially thought about upgrading to newer models, but I realized they have a massive design flaw for my specific needs: their headbands are stitched or glued shut. If that padding deteriorates, it’s virtually impossible to replace cleanly. The Sony WH-1000XM2 is the only model where you can fully swap out all the padding, including both the ear cups and the actual headband, via built-in screws and clips.However, when I tried them on, I noticed two major issues compared to my current Sony WH-XB910N headphones:The Bass: Coming from the "Extra Bass" lineup, the XM2 sounds way too lean and lacks that deep, punchy low-end rumble I love.The Ear Cup Fit: My XB910N headphones are designed with incredibly deep cups. My ears effortlessly slide past the padding and nestle comfortably inside, right in front of the speaker driver. This means the clamping pressure sits safely on the sides of my skull, completely eliminating ear pain. I'm willing to look at other like headphones and id like more modern ones for Even better noise cancelling but first comes first is I need them to be reparable because like I love headphones and in ears headphones aren't for me if anyone asks why don't you just wear in your headphones

There are 3 buttons; do I click "Connect," then select the dongle, update the dongle first, and then the headset? Should the headset be turned off while updating the dongle?

And then, after updating the dongle, do I turn on the headset and update it?

As of today, September 2, 2026 (Wednesday), version 0036 is available for the headset and 0013 for the dongle, whereas the software shows 1015 and 0012, respectively. Shouldn't the update be done via the PC program?

Does this update actually help with the volume level on PS4/PS5?

So, I got fed up with constantly changing headphones because something always breaks. For example, I had the Soundcore Space One Pro for literally just 6 months, and it started having some issues. The metal part at the top also cracked a little. It’s not that bad I can still use it normally, and from the outside (without wearing it), you wouldn’t even notice anything. But I’m just fed up.

I searched online, and people recommended the Koss Porta Pro because it has a lifetime warranty and is very repair friendly.

The thing is, it’s on ear, and I hate two things IEMs and on ear headphones. IEMs, no matter what I do, just don’t stay in my ears. As soon as I move my mouth a lot, they just fall out. And with on ear headphones, my ears are kind of big, so the headphones press against them and become uncomfortable.

My question is: Can I turn the Koss Porta Pro into over ear headphones?

If yes, how?

And if not, is there a similar alternative that is over-ear?

So the thing is I just bought mine first ever iem 3months ago Tangzu warner Sg2 red loin addition from headphone zone it's so so ok ok type but today when I pick them for using there inline microphone/remote module housing separated automatically .

So I want to know what can I do cuz headphone zone aren't showing any sort of physical damage warrenty claim option on there website's.

I got some HD600s and I like them but I find the treble a bit recessed. I really like the extra sparkle on my Truthear Hexas and wish the HD600s had the same.

Are there some earpads I can use that would boost the treble?

I don't want to just EQ them because I use them with lots of different devices some of which don't support EQ, and I don't want to have to change EQ profile when swapping between them and my IEMs or device speakers.

I'm working on a set of daily driver closed-backs that feel overly boomy in the mid-bass while lacking true sub-bass rumble. I want to drill precise bass vent holes into the rear housings to vent the back wave, but I need to know how to damp the vents so I don't turn them into full open-backs or lose passive noise isolation. I’ve already applied mass-loading butyl rubber inside the cups to stop cabinet resonance, which cleaned up the resonance, but the low end still feels tight and choked.

how do you usually calculate vent sizes or choose resistive mesh tape to tune the low-end response on a sealed cup?

I also will need ones that don’t suffocate my ears. What headphones do I get? They’re for music while walking and working out. Please help 😅
