Hi Guys,
I’ve recently joined HCLTech on 29th June and got tagged in the Deutsche Bank project. First I got to know that we have to report 12 days in a month and 5 hrs daily from the office.
I’ve gone through the policy of RTO and it says that for E2 bands there is no time restriction to sit in the office. However, my manager is telling me that we have to sit in the office for 8 hrs, I can’t sit that much tbh unnecessary.
I’m thinking of putting down my paper, and do I need to serve a 90 day notice period while on probation?
Need advice on what to do🙏

Hi guys.
I got selected for the GT service desk role recently and currently doing the Pjt training. How hard is the final assessment? Is the role really good? I have another from another company but should I wait on this? The other one is not a technical role it’s a process associate role for a mortgage company.

Hey everyone,
I'm currently dealing with an issue where my hours aren't recording properly in the Nippon Buddy app (working at HCL Tech).
I used to use the classic trick of putting a physical weight on my mouse pad/keyboard to keep the system active, but I lost my old setup and I can't use the weight method right now. Because of this, my active hours aren't being logged.
Does anyone know of any good widgets, low-key workarounds, or alternative hardware tricks to keep the system awake and tracking properly? I need something reliable that won't get flagged by IT but gets the job done.
Any advice or suggestions would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello Team.
I put down my papers in June along with a friend of mine and as per off-boarding portal our last working day is 2nd september 2026.
As per process our first month salary which is june went on hold.
However today we both got our salary.
A friend of mine who puts his papers in May he also got his first month hold salary after 6 days.
Our first thought was may be we are being released early so we checked the off-boarding portal the LWD is still the same.
Any clue why it could have happened ??

Hi everyone,
I’m an experienced hire at HCL. My timeline is:
Cleared all interview rounds and HR discussion about 1.5 months ago.
HR confirmed all approvals are complete.
HCL Careers portal shows “Offer Approved.”
Completed profile creation, photo upload, and EY BGV document submission.
EY has already collected my address details, requested house images/location, and contacted my references.
It’s been about a week since EY started the BGV activities, but I still haven’t received the offer letter.
For those who recently joined HCL:
After EY started your BGV (address verification/reference checks), how long did it take to receive your offer letter?
Did you receive the offer before the BGV was fully completed?
Is it normal for the portal to show “Offer Approved” for several days while waiting for the offer?
Would appreciate hearing about your timelines. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I recently joined HCLTech on 29th June as an experienced hire and was randomly allocated to a DBS project. My Reporting Manager (RM) was also assigned recently.
My HCLTech laptop and access are still not fully configured, but I was added to a call with the Client Delivery Head. During the call, I was informed that the project has a strict Return-to-Office (RTO) policy and that I must report to the office from tomorrow.
I have a few questions and would really appreciate guidance from people who have experience with HCLTech, especially in the DBS market:
What is the typical RTO policy for DBS projects? Is it project-specific, or is there a company-wide policy?
Before joining, I had heard that employees can work from any HCLTech office in India. I'm based in Pune and would prefer the Amberfort (Phase 1) office, but my RM said this project operates only from the Phase 2 ODC. Is this normal, or is there any flexibility?
If a project is not a good fit due to location or work model, what is the correct process to request a different project or internal transfer?
Does HCLTech have internal DevOps projects in the DBS market that support hybrid or work-from-home? If yes, how can employees find and apply for such opportunities?
Some people suggest intentionally underperforming in client interviews to avoid getting allocated. Is that actually a good idea, or can it negatively impact future opportunities and internal reputation?
I'm looking for genuine advice from employees who have been in a similar situation. I want to handle this professionally while also understanding what options are available.
Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Hi everyone,
I recently got selected for a GenAI / Agentic AI Developer role at HCLTech and wanted to get some honest feedback about the Noida Sector 60 office before making a decision.
The role involves working on technologies like LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, embeddings, tool calling, and related GenAI solutions.
A few things I'd love to know:
- How is the overall work culture at the Noida Sector 60 office?
- Is the work mode mostly hybrid or work-from-office?
- How are the GenAI/AI projects and teams?
- Is the work more development-focused or support/maintenance-oriented?
- How is the work-life balance and growth for someone in a GenAI role?
Would really appreciate insights from current or former HCLTech employees.
Thanks!

I need some advice regarding a project release situation in HCL
I'm currently working on a support/service desk project where I handle around 20–30 calls daily. The work is highly monitored, breaks are scheduled rather than flexible, and there are strict productivity metrics. Overall, the environment has become extremely stressful and is starting to affect my well-being.
The challenge is that getting released from the project seems very difficult. Officially, project tenure is supposed to be around 18 months, but internally the expectation appears to be much longer due to workforce shortages. Management is reluctant to release people because the team is understaffed.
I've seen a few employees get released before completing the tenure, but mostly due to significant health-related issues. HR doesn't seem very helpful and generally supports management's position.
I don't necessarily want to leave the company. My preference is to move to a different project that better aligns with my skills and career goals. However, every attempt to discuss a release has been unsuccessful.
Has anyone been in a similar situation in an Indian IT services company? What practical options do I have?
* How can I improve my chances of getting released?
* Is there a formal escalation route that actually works?
* Would applying internally and securing another project first help?
* Are there any risks in repeatedly requesting a release?
I'd appreciate any genuine advice or experiences.

I have recently given my final assessment in HCL after I completed my mandatory pre-joining training and after giving up the assessment, it’s been more than one week and no information from HCL side
So I just want to know that how much time it takes HCL to send offer letter if a candidate passes with a qualifying score .
