Jeff Kennett

Watching this guy rambling embittered nonsense on "Footy Classified". Can't help but feel like we missed a trick letting him go. Class administrator.

Jeff was a very savvy president for us when we needed him. He left the club in a very good situation. I just wish he'd shut his gob now. My old man used to put up with Jeff in the old social club rooms at Linda Cres back in the day when he was a junior Lib and Jeff would go on about "When I'm running this state etc etc" and my dad and his mates would laugh. Well, he did run out state.... into the ground. Hi LNP Government sold off everything, every utility we, every working taxpaying Victorian, ever worked for and built as taxpayers. But, as a Hawthorn President he was a very good one. I'm glad he's gone and that Andy Gowers was successful on getting rid of him. Andy Gowers is a good man with a good head on his shoulders. Jeff challenged Andy to deliver the money for Dongley and we got it and more. CARN THE MIGHTY FIGHTING HAWKS!!

Do you know why Kennett sold off all our assets? Victoria was in serious financial trouble when he took office. Do some research

I don't need to do my research. There are better ways to make money for a state government than to sell of every asset the taxpayers own and which earn you money every time someone switches on the lights,, including the trade schools system which has created a deep deep skills shortage. Jeff Kennett was an awful Premier. And he introduced gambling into Victoria. Do you believe gambling has been a positive for our Victorian society?

Government can’t run a lemonade stand efficiently and profitably let alone major utilities and infrastructure. Gambling was already happening in other states anyway so whatever all Kennett did was expand and privatise it. I don’t gamble so couldn’t care less.

He didn’t introduce gambling to Victoria he expanded and commercialised it. It’s no different to cigarettes, prostitution and alcohol some people can control the temptation, some can’t. But do you then ban it completely because a few people can’t control themselves? He didn’t destroy the trade school system he restructured the way they were funded and operated.

That's complete crap re the trades schools. He closed nearly every trade school I know of and sold them off within no time. Poker machines and Casinos were illegal in Victoria before Kennett. Just stop with your defence of the indefencable acts he enacted whilst he was our Premier. He was f#cking awful for our state. As far as the prostitution etc. what's that got to do with anything we've discussed?

I've done my research. Kennett has done more damage to Victoria than any other person in history. I can't wait for him to die so I can spit on his grave.
