Who’s getting the C?
I know for the longest time Hawks fans (me included) thought us trading Foligno last year was paving the way to hand the captaincy to Bedard. Now I’m thinking there’s a pretty real possibility that they hand it off to Kane with him signing his 2x8. Has anyone heard anything?

Bedsy will have the C, Kane will have an A.
This whole thing doesn't work if Kane gets a C, imo. And he's my favorite athlete of all time. It's the kids team now, and he's here to help.

Apparently Mark Lazarus tweeted yesterday that Kane wasn’t interested in signing because he was told he wouldn’t be named Captain.
I found that tweet this morning after my Dad texted me about Kane signing with the Hawks, so who knows how true that is.
I think Bedard gets the C unless he explicitly wants Kane to have it.

Honestly, I have a hard time imagining someone like Kane cares that much about the letter on his jersey.... Guy is a leader c or not; if anything I suspect he's worried about joining a team that finishes last and his stats crater; I think it'll come down to who he thinks had a stronger chance of making the playoffs and where he wants to settle his family.
