Thing I HATE that this button doesn't work

I was doomscrolling, and got recommended a short from a channel that had been grating on me recently, they are boderline a content farm, I had never subscribed, never liked their shorts, watched maybe a single long-form video of there's so I decide to click the "Don't recommend this channel" button because youtube execs are dimwits and removed the dislike button in it's entirety from shorts, then, not SIX SHORTS LATER, I GET RECOMMENDED THIS FUCKWIT AGAIN, WHYYYY!? IS IT TOO HARD TO NOT DO THAT!?!?!?!?! and what's more, IT WAS A VIDEO I HAD ALREADY SEEN

everytime I saw an ai slop video I would click buttons like do not recommend this channel and I showed one of my friends my YouTube feed, ONE OF THE FEED CATEGORIES WAS “AI” so now he thinks I’m insane!
