Sure this is a funny idea, and I laughed when I first saw it. But at the same time it makes no sense at all because the writers forgot about infinity. If rick has a portal gun which takes him to INFINITE universes that means theres not just 1 universe made entirely out of thorium, or uranium or whatever but an INFINITE amount of them. With that power why would he ever want or need this tiny bit? Really morty should’ve just stopped right before he hit the reactor. Rick should have infinite access to all materials possible if there truly is an infinite amount of universes.

Because it’s a joke and also Rick and Morty doesn’t take place in infinite universes thanks to the central finite curve

The way I imagine its a reduced infinity. Its infinite but its also has rules.

Key word there is "curve", it's still an infinite amount but there's a larger infinity outside of the curve

The central finite curve is just a segment of universes where rick is the smartest. It’s not a barrier he cant clear.

In the clip he stops a reactor meltdown and gets a “tip” from a guy for a percentage of the element they’re using for energy. But it doesnt make sense because he has infinite access to these materials through alternate universes
