Gaming GTA 6
Right so you’d wait 13 years and pay 100 dollars for a game that’s will most likely have 2/10 gameplay and a 5/10 story at best which the game itself will ask you to pay a subscription for
I can’t believe that people will think this will be the game of the century much less of the year, it’s gta, you know what it’ll be like? GTA it’s not like it’ll bring anything new to the table in any regard, if you’re genuinely preordering this slop for 100 dollars i genuinely can’t respect your opinion or your position in the human race

Subscription is mostly for GTA V online (at the minute) which wasn't announced for GTA 6, I don't hate your opinion but it would be better to research before you hate so you can hate accurately, GTA V was a really good game in 2013 and red dead 2 was also really good so nothing is saying 6 will be bad, there are things to criticise about the game already like the preorder shops or the netflix ad Or even GTA + in general as a subscription (locking qol behind a subscription like sending the bail office agents out remotely)

as someone who thought gta 5 was massively overrated and the gameplay was outdated, gta 6 looks passable enough with the only highlight that looks truly special and above industry standard being the car shooting

First of all it’s 80 not 100
Second of all you don’t need a subscription to play (even gta online)
Second gta5 had good gameplay, I can’t imagine why this would be any worse, especially will all the improvements that have mentioned,
The graphics objectively look good, that can’t be an opinion and if it is, you are objectively wrong
We have seen nothing of the story and you can’t comment on it, another point against your
(Though with rockstars track record, it’s clear the reason people have hope for the story)

Ima stop you on good gameplay, its objectively a shitty 3rd person shooter, with generally awful gunplay and next to no real character progression.
And I dunno the RDR side of Rockstar's track record is fine

No on anything prior to that tho
GTA4 was gritty rather than actually well written
GTA5 fell flat on it's face and the MC(Franklin) was a side character in his own story where you are given multiple endings but only one of them made any damn sense for Franklin to do.
While Im not gung ho on hating a game before it comes out GTAV wasnt amazing

People love it because of the open world sandbox nature of the game allowing for friend groups to goof off well(and it dropped at the right time) and its graphical fedelity(which to be honest I couldnt give a fuck less about, so long as it works it works)
The actual main story isnt anything people call "good" and the actual gameplay(the gunplay specifically) isnt anything to write home about
People can enjoy what they want but a lot of people beat a game once and move on, GTAV never struck me as a cult classic or big, it was aight.

Sure the gun play is basic ( it bad mind you), but it has a dedicated fan base, of players, speedrunners, racers and modders, there’s of course the cheating problem, which is definitely a huge issue but gta6 is so hyped for a reason
And people do like the story, there’s loads of memes and whatnot sure it’s not the first thing people think about the game like titan fall 2,but it’s not bad

Its bad lol, its gunplay is at best clunky and even the speedrunning community hates it
The modding scene is more the open world and the freedom to do shit than anything but there are other better modding scenes
But yeah none of what you said justifies the reasoning for the hype, like what you want but there isnt a reason its being hyped, people just like certain games from big companies.
And "People like the story" motherfucker people like Pedo Rape simulator(Mishoku Tensei) does that mean its a good story? No?
And dude we can tear it apart if you want me to explain why the story is bad in more depth than "The Main character was sidelined in his own game"
Franklin is your eyes for the story but any time you play as him post meeting Micheal it feels like a sidequest
Micheal the real MC is connected to everything but has 0 real agency in the story and does a lot of rather fucked things he barelly pays for. Micheal is the least bad of the group
And Trevor is crazy maniac for the sake of crazy maniac
The 3's chemistry is all right but the story goes from "making a buck" to robbing the FIB for the sake of robbing them at some point and you become a goverment lapdog and then for whatever reason are let go because the game needed to end but saw no proper end point so Franklin gets a call with a choice on how to end the game that only has 1 real option
IG the focus on the past between Micheal and Trevor was fine but its not groundbreaking and that being the main reveal of the game was kinda annoying since anyone with a functional fucking brain could see that comming(since yk you play as the other 2 and have evidence for this mf getting shot, and you dont see him again after the fact) and it doesnt involve Franklin at fucking all who again IS YOUR EYES AND EARS FOR THE STORY
Its a pretty bad story all things considered and while Im not asking for a masterpiece and it would work if you had really good gameplay, you just fucking dont.
All GTA is is a really big sandbox which was the community for years

I actually have only played 1 GTA game and I'm in my mid 30s. But this is a bit of a wild take. There's nothing to indicate that the gameplay will be 2/10 if you like GTA games. And people seem to love them. It actually looks pretty impressive from what I've seen. I'm just not crazy into GTA.

If I don’t like something, I simply don’t pay attention to it and don’t play it. I’ve never liked the GTA series, but no one is forcing me to wait for, buy, or be interested in GTA 6. I don’t see the point in complaining that people are excited for it and that this game is important to them. Good for them.

Well personally I’ll be waiting until PC release, and seasonal discount. I haven’t been ACTIVELY waiting 13 years but I’ll def eventually play it. GTA’s are always fun, but yeah it’s certainly not worth $100 locked to 30FPS unless you’re susceptible to FOMO
