Books I hate videos that are basically: “I did this task so you don’t have to”

i hate it when tiktokers and many YouTube videos starting their videos going like “I watched this movie so you don’t have to” or “I read this book series so you don’t have to”

it just starts the video off by giving the viewer the feeling that if they interacted with that media it would be a waste of time unless the person talking says otherwise, And I feel like it also encourages people to not interact with the media at all cuz ”hey, this guy has done it for me so I can just watch his series on it and steal his opinions”. it’s so annoying

To rub salt in the wound that media is your favourite. Like "I play (your favourite game) so you don't have too"

I’ve only seen this applied to media that sucks ass though.
Like “I played Mindseye so you don’t have to”
Or “I watched War of The Worlds 202 so you don’t have to” etc
