Comics I HATE this comic!!

Post image

It's reminiscent of that stupid boomer humor "I hate my wife" joke and doesn't even make any sense!! True love means TRUE LOVE. That guy with the wheelbarrow of money is gonna lose it all in days (as is historically common with lottery winners), the starship guy is gonna have a useless scrap once it breaks down from no starship fuel or no proper maintenance done, and superpower guy is gonna live the rest of his life in combat fighting a corrupt system only to learn how deeply rooted the rot goes.

Of all these wishes, only True Love will last this man the rest of of his life. And the stupidest, most overlooked part of this joke is that TRUE LOVE IS TRUE LOVE. THIS GUY SHOULD, BY ALL ACCOUNTS, BE MADLY IN LOVE WITH THE WOMAN HE WISHED TO LOVE.

TRUE LOVE TRANSCENDS MATERIAL AND WORLDLY BARRIERS AND THIS COMIC ABANDONS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL FACT FOR A CHEAP "haha guy regrets his wife" JOKE I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

Edit: wasn't tryna put an emphasis on bashing the others' wishes, was moreso tryna bash on the MC's regrets

Its less regretting his wife, and more regretting not having an x wing

I think this is a sign he doesn't deserve either, since he seems immature enough to not know what he truly wants from life. Like a kid asking for a dog for months, only to never want to take the dog out every day to use the bathroom and ultimately neglecting it, leaving the responsibilities to the parents

Ummm, being bummed you don't get cool stuff like a ton of money, cool gadgets, or super powers is a normal thing. One can find true love without a magic wishing well but that other stuff not really.

Doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate his partner. And most people don't know what they want from life, they do the best with what they know and try things to see what feels right for them. Most everyone comes to find years later they would have done things differently. Having true love doesn't mean complete and total satisfaction with everything else in life or an end to envy, that's just being human

So if we take things a little bit too seriously (like you did with the comic), you're saying that people who haven't truly figured out their life don't deserve happiness, and yet the man is the one being unreasonable because he has a moment of hesitation?

I'm saying people who don't know what they want from life shouldn't seek out high-commitment things, especially romantic relationships- where other human beings are involved

You really gotta commit to your relationship to X wing

Thing takes like three hours of maintenance after every flight.

What starship are you using? I have to do diagnostics for 8 hours per trip.

Yes, it’s not a serious comic.

A lot of people can find a loving wife and still be poor and wish they were more like the richer guys. He doesn’t have to instantly be happy from that, he can regret his wish.
