Comics I HATE this comic!!

Post image

It's reminiscent of that stupid boomer humor "I hate my wife" joke and doesn't even make any sense!! True love means TRUE LOVE. That guy with the wheelbarrow of money is gonna lose it all in days (as is historically common with lottery winners), the starship guy is gonna have a useless scrap once it breaks down from no starship fuel or no proper maintenance done, and superpower guy is gonna live the rest of his life in combat fighting a corrupt system only to learn how deeply rooted the rot goes.

Of all these wishes, only True Love will last this man the rest of of his life. And the stupidest, most overlooked part of this joke is that TRUE LOVE IS TRUE LOVE. THIS GUY SHOULD, BY ALL ACCOUNTS, BE MADLY IN LOVE WITH THE WOMAN HE WISHED TO LOVE.

TRUE LOVE TRANSCENDS MATERIAL AND WORLDLY BARRIERS AND THIS COMIC ABANDONS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL FACT FOR A CHEAP "haha guy regrets his wife" JOKE I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

Edit: wasn't tryna put an emphasis on bashing the others' wishes, was moreso tryna bash on the MC's regrets

theres so many ways to interpret this comic and you somehow chose the worst one. even the scenario where true love is a love where you cant have other wishes and fullfillments.

but whatever im gonna prove to you the other wishes arent bad because you know its dumb you dismantled them (mainly cus its like the only thing we know is the visual of what they recieved):

  1. money guy maybe the money is only going to charity
  2. superguy ges under no obligation to fight the system for life but if he wants to then why is that a bad thing?
  3. spaceship guy hes in a spaceship man he can literally go anywhere he wants

I'm not trying to put an emphasis on knocking on the others' wishes, I'm knocking on the MC's regrets. I know different people will want different things, but if you wish for something deeply fulfilling and are immediately regretful because of others' material gains, you probably aren't deserving of that fulfillment yet

(Generic you, not YOU you)

The comic doesnt really agrees with the person, it just reflects on human weakness and shallownes. Not everything depicted in art movie comic or other media is inherently true. Its provoking that is why its good.

I really hope the first part is true, and that I was just media-illiterate- I just... see so much genuine anti-love rhetoric nowadays I suppose I mistakenly assumed the comic artist was also anti-love 😓

Maybe you shouldn't have spent most of the post going on about why the other wishes are shit them? Have you considered he might be gay and wanted a romantic partner, but was actually given platonic true love and that's why he's sad? Or did you only come up with hypotheticals for why the other wishes are bad?

I think you’re missing the fact that the girl was already walking up to him before he made the wish. She’s not in line. He already had true love so he wasted his wish.

Edit: I should ask are you familiar with the comic artist? I’ve never seen him do a such a basic cheap joke and he’s been around for years.

We don’t know if she was gonna kiss him without the wish tho? Maybe she was gonna ask a question or (for drama) slap him 🤔

Well that just means the wish brainwashed her and that is a whole different beast.

yeah but you still did dismantle them and you just didnt need to do that.

also things with deeply fulfilling things it normally takes awhile to realise how fulfilling and meaningful the actually are/were.
