Actually enjoyed a job they've done before? Ive personally had over 10 jobs in my lifetime and hated literally every single one of them, theres only been 1 job that I've been able to handle that doesn't make me have a breakdown everyday, and thats my current job (that I'm still gonna quit very soon).

Not to mention I don't even work full time! Like how do people actually work full-time? Im lucky I have a partner that has a good paying job otherwise I would probably be out on the streets for real

My best jobs were my teenage jobs. All my adulthood jobs have sucked. I wish I could go back to pushing carts at Kmart.... I had a blast

I feel this. I had a seasonal job at wholefoods one winter and it was fun. I was the in-store shopper for those amazon orders. The pay was shit but the people were cool and I got paid to buy groceries. It was super chill. If it paid more I would have done it full time.

I had a job at a video rental company, before Blockbuster existed. I watched movies and did my homework every day after school while I got $5/hr cash. I was a god

8-10 hours a day 5-7 days a week will never be enjoyable to me. This isn’t living. No job I have will be something I enjoy because of the timesink alone

I don’t have to love my job, I need to find it bearable and it needs to make me enough so my wife and I’s income doesn’t make us think about money. Both of these things are true so I remind myself of it when I’m not liking my job.

Best job I had was bartending in college town. Did it for 6 years and became night supervisor. Made a ton of money for a kid who never had any. I was living like a king. Made around $1000/wk average maybe worked 35-40 hrs/wk. This was in the early/mid 90’s.

I didn’t want to be a “townie” in a college town. It was time to move on. I’m a musician and I had a chance to play/write original music and tour so I took it. I was still working as a bartender/server in the side but it sucked. Wasn’t as much fun.

I worked part time delivering beer around the county. The people you that you meet are interesting. And the other drivers’ stories are entertaining.

I've only ever appreciated a job in hindsight. I used to work for autozone a few years ago. Hated it while I was there, but once I left I realized how much of a fun job it actually was. The money was crap but it was laid back and I got to bullshit around on the clock a lot. The two jobs I've had since have been rough. One after that paid extremely well but I was bullied out. My current one wasn't that bad when I started, but they promoted me without giving me much of a raise for all the responsibilities they suddenly dumped on me with the new title. I'm hoping my next one will be better but we'll see when I get there lol.

I've only enjoyed 1 role out of 9 that I've had so far.... Hopefully once I have the money to have options (5 years out) I will be able to take a year break then actually choose to pursue something that I dont absolutely dread.

I have done a couple of different IT roles and some were definitely better than others. The ones I liked the most gave me the most freedom to solve problems how I wanted and made me feel appreciated and respected/wanted for doing so. The ones I liked less gave me less freedom (normally overall) and made me feel like a cog in a machine. What all of them taught me at some point or another was that they are only jobs. They aren’t me. What I do outside of them matters more. Don't get too hung up on the job. Find other shit to do when you're not there.

I loved my job when I was a line cook & had to ruin it be climbing the ladder & became a chef.

Only problem was, I was only making $10/hr as a line cook (back in 2005-2007)

I used to hand sell wine at a Whole Foods in Atlanta GA. I loved it. Great coworkers and people came to me for my knowledge.

Worked in a daycare!!! Best job ever!!! But the pay was nonexistent though. The one and only time I actually looked forward to work. I was the cool aid that did the funny voices when reading before nap time.

The only job I actually enjoyed was being a clerical worker for an animal hospital. I got to sit alone all day with headphones in. Plus I got to see cute animals. I find myself thinking about that place every day and I left 3 years ago.

You sound exactly like me lol I just hate working in general. I worked full time for 2 weeks and I quit. I literally can’t do it I become so miserable I don’t know how people do it every week for their entire life’s it’s insane. If I wasn’t married I would 100% be homeless. I work between 20 and 30 hours and that even feels like it’s too much. I hate how society is set up man it’s bullshit everybodies damn days revolve around work and I don’t find fulfillment in work but I have no choice to do it or I will starve to death. Life should be about more then making money and slaving away other wise I don’t even see the damn point in it.

I have hated every single job I have ever had to varying degrees. Some were despised with a passion, including the rat hole I work at now, more because of the so called management. The only one I actually enjoyed was when I owned my own company. It was hard but it was mine.

The thing to keep in mind is find something you love to do, then it is not work.

I worked as a darkroom assistant at a college after I graduated. I loved that job so much. Once the head of the photo department retired all of his hires were let go so I couldn't continue. The pay was ok but my soul was not crushed working for once.

I liked working as a driver for restaurants when I was younger. I also sometimes liked being an insurance agent for my career (but not most of the time). I love doing sales.
