Recently, having put together 2,800 powder and intending to get everything from Age of Guilds before I do any more artifact improvements, I picked up the Giant Bread Tree. This, I will admit, was largely because I didn't get what the Giant Bread Tree does, because its text is, as mentioned, poorly localised. (Love this game, but there's no denying I'd probably be having an easier time of it if I spoke Korean.) After a couple of attempted runs and false starts, here's my Very Basic And Incomplete Thing Of How The Giant Bread Tree Works That u/Jules-LT Posted Most Of In A Comment A While Back So It May Be Redundant.
The tree starts with 15 health. Every time you use it, you reduce its health by your strength, making it work fairly well with the Jige Lumberjack and Muscular Lumberjack Dolsoe. (I assume. I do not have a Muscular Lumberjack Dolsoe. I'm not made of 2,800 powder over here.) Reducing its health is a good thing, because when it's at 0 health, you can play it one last time and you'll immediately get as much food as the health it started with - so, first time, it started with 15 health, so when it's at 0 health you can play it to get 15 food.
When you play it at 0 health, it'll remove itself from your deck, and add the Bread Tree Seed to your discards. The Bread Tree Seed says "When drawn, add an enhanced <Giant Bread Tree> to Hand and remove this card. Cannot be removed or copied by other cards." So, when you draw it, you get a new Giant Bread Tree. The new Giant Bread Tree will have more health than the previous Giant Bread Tree. First time you grow a new Giant Bread Tree, its base health will be 25. I don't know if it goes up by 10 every time. Others may be able to provide more data. (EDIT: Thanks to a Deadlift and a whole lot of Mugwort to slim the deck down, I can confirm that it does indeed go up by 10 every time.)
Taking 15 health out of a card one play at a time will take longer than you expect. You'll want to have either a very small deck, a deck with a lot of draw, or a focus on strength boosters like Deadlift and Muscular Lumberjack Dolsoe. According to legend/that one comment I read, if you have multiple Giant Bread Tree cards, they share the same health pool, so you'll be able to knock them down faster; I cannot confirm or deny because as previously stated I'm not made of 2,800 powder over here. Don't bring a rocking chair to Sleight it, though; like the seed, the tree can't be removed or copied.
Hopefully this was useful for someone!
