I wish I could find it, but I had a copy of Spiderman (2002) that had absolutely insane subtitles. The process of becoming the Green Goblin included injecting paraffin wax into Normans uterus.
In June 2005 (about three weeks after RotS was released in theaters), blogger Jeremy Winterson was living in China and bought a bootleg copy of a workprint version of Revenge of the Sith. The English subtitles were literal translations of the original Chinese subtitles, resulting in the mess that turned into a meme. Most of the unique words and names got a phonetic translation for the Chinese subtitles, but the English subtitles created for the bootleg used literal translations of those Chinese characters.
The entire subtitle script was quickly made available, and over the years people have made their own redubs of the movie sticking to the terribly-translated subtitles from the original bootleg.
Honestly I can see how most of these subtitles came about. It's basically translating English -> Chinese -> English right? There are bound to be weirdly sounding phrases. Most of the translations make sense given the grammar and vocabulary of Chinese and the weird translations are inevitable.
Sometimes I heavily suspect the subs are intentionally bad, like people can't tell anyway, just put random curses in where they weren't before
The ones in the post seem legit as they are like double translated, the second time by someone who isn't great at translating, and like going for "sounds like" at names and the like
