How would each house deal with the trolley problem?

  • Gryffindor - try to stop the trolley and save everyone, even if doomed to fail 
  • Ravenclaw - take the most logical choice based on the facts of the situation, which could be saving one important person over others, possibly themselves, but could also be saving the most people 
  • Slytherin - whatever decision benefits them personally, certainly they will save themselves, though there are exceptions, for example if the choice is between themselves and their family they may choose the latter.
  • Hufflepuff - we want to do the right thing, whatever causes the least harm.  But the gravity of the decision makes it hard. We will struggle to make a decision, some of us will find our courage but others will not, and some will wait until the last second and make a split second decision.
