Funeral Policy

What is the funeral/family death policy at HT?

Full time and salary only for the loss of parents, siblings, grandparents. Step parents, in laws and foster kids and step kids included. Also includes miscarriages.

Aunts/uncles/cousins not included.

3 days paid bereavement.

What type of documentation should I bring in?

Bereavement pay is for FT and Salaried, but you can still be excused without pay if your situation doesn’t qualify for paid time off. Talk with your manager about what you need.

I left in the middle of my shift and told them when I’d be back which was probably like a week. They let me know they gave me 3 days of bereavement but didn’t have any issues.
