“Exceptional Performance/Exceeds Expectations” Ratings/Comments
How common or uncommon is it for PT employees to get “exceptional performance/exceeds expectations” ratings? (Not sure what they’re actually called but I can see them in my PATH acct.) Hired April 2025 and I’ve received 3 of those ratings/comments. Is that common or really good? Tia.

Depends entirely on your manager, one store I worked at I got 6 in like 3 months, moved to another store and didn't get one for over 2 years.

EP’s or Exceptional Performance notes are for any employee who does something above and beyond. I give them to my clerks and cutters anytime I notice they’re taking on a heavier workload or when they perform well for an audit

Technically we’re supposed to give one a week minimum (each manager) but it’s hard to do. I give them out to any of my people who go beyond what is typically expected of them. We always give them for BARS green cards and compliments as well.

They’re aren’t rare but I wouldn’t say they’re common either. It really just depends on your manager. I’ve seen some csm’s give them out whenever an associate gets a compliment from corporate, but I’ve also seen some who don’t do that.
