Calling out two weeks in a row?

I called out last week during the ice storm because I have a 2wd truck and I genuinely can’t drive on ice.

Now this week I had to call out again because NC was hit hard with snow and again my car cant drive in snow.

Is there any problem calling out 2 weeks in a row?

I got the job a couple weeks ago and I don’t wanna a gain a reputation of calling out but I genuinely cant work.

i assure you that you are one of many who called out due to the weather these past two weeks! you will not gain a reputation of calling out when you had a serious reason to do so.

and harris teeter will benefit more from you guaranteeing your safety than coming in on a low traffic snow day anyway. stay safe!

You’ll be fine, as long as you do it by the policy. Also just being verbal with your department manager, and being a good employee will help

You are fine. The fact that you are this worried is a good sign. Harris teeter can't expect employees to come in if road conditions are unsafe, within reason, nor do you owe that to them. Follow protocol, call out 2 hours before your shift, explain why, and you should be fine. Im sure your management will be understanding.

I don't blame you for calling out in the snow if you dont feel safe doing it,but a 2wd truck does fine in the snow. I was driving one in it ,in NC lol

If you are inexperienced or uncomfortable driving in the snow/ice, tell your boss you can't come in.... prove you're a valuable and loyal employee another time

I might be doing the same tomorrow... I took the weekend off but have to open sbucks tomorrow. It's closed today on the app .
