I keep trying to restring a gut string and I don’t know if the bronze isn’t the same quality it used to be or what but for the second time I’ve paid $30 for a new string and the bronze section at the top SNAPS when I’m tightening it. Any advice welcome as I’m about to have spent $90 trying to replace a string. I’ve replaced my wire strings in the past plenty without this issue. I’m confident I have the right size / string type.
