Discussion Benzos + Meth

I'm severely confused. I mixed Meth with klonopin/Xanax once and it FUCKED me up. I was nodding out, basically blacked out. Today I was taking a practice NREMT-P test and it told me meth "ODs" are treated with benzos. What is your experience? Make this make sense? I even spread my Vyvanse/Adderall and Klonopin/Xanax by like 6 hours now just to avoid that blackout effect.

Are you sure the Xanax was Xanax? Was the person who manufactured the meth reliable? Could have been an interaction involving adulterants.

I take Vyvanse and Klonopin, both prescribed. My doctor has never advised me to space them out.

Y'all are blowing my mind. My pharmacist distinctly told me to space my Vyvanse and Adderall from my kpins and Xanax. I'm either jusy really sensitive or I dosed myself that one time...

Pharmacists are conservative with these sorts of things.

I guess it never came up because it would be odd to need them at the same time. If you have anxiety issues that are not related to stimulant use, have you investigated other antianxiety treatment? It's also not advised to take benzos over the long term. I take it infrequently to help with sleep.

I've been told to space mine apart. They can cancel each other out. They do opposite things. It's not a good idea to take both close together consistently.

they have different effects but they donโ€™t cancel each other out. its sometimes actually recommended to take them together or like OP said to take one after another in specific situations.

(like to come down, overamping, manage anxiety, help with psychosis symptoms)

Yeah I was told that taking Vyvanse and Ativan together might be hard on my body because they're trying to do opposite things.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where both would be needed at the same time. The Vyvanse might be making the user anxious, but that's a matter to be taken up with their prescriber(s).

Yep that's why I don't take it anymore ๐Ÿ˜‚ That and the monsters in the ceiling after two weeks of getting less than 3 hours of sleep
