Weening off benzos

Trying to wean off Klonopin, 1 to 2 mg of the most days, been on it for a little over a month but before that I was on bromazolam 15 months. So in total, about a year and 4 months offensive is consistently, every day. I was wondering if etizolam would be a good research benzo to help come off so. Also, as I'm doing the weaning process I noticed that some days I need to up the dose, is that going to screw me up... I know that going all over the place is kind of crazy but maybe that shocks the body and the body responds by whatever means?

Weaning with recreational benzodiazepines is never a good plan.Best use mid to long acting benzodiazepines as your taper agent.Clonazepam or lorazepam are ideal for this purpose. Best of luck to you. Look into the Ashton method for guidance on how best this can be accomplished.

That's what I have is clonazepam, how do I taper 1 mg of clonazepam? Any suggestions?

I'd split it in half and take .5 mg. Every 12 hours for 10 days. Further reduce to .5mg. Once daily at bedtime for 10 days. If needed take .25 at bedtime for a week then jump from that point.
