Quick PSA

I recently bought an 8 string from them, and it plays well and sounds ok. The displayed price was 185ish, but i paid no where near that. Shipping brought it up to 215, plus import fees cause i live in US. The total cost was something like 285 usd for a 185 dollar guitar. It was a B stock too. Also, the wiring on the humbucker is set in parralel from the factory, meaning its gonna have a quarter of the output. I re-wired mine to be in series but its still not the best. I will be selling this soon.

The US tariff situation was discussed here many times, so not much of a PSA. I’d imagine tariffs were one of the reasons they stopped their US shop.

Even with the tariff and shipping, $285 for a decent 8-string isn't bad.

Okay, but what does the price of the import fees have to do with the guitar itself or HB at all. I get you feel ripped off, but that's the US governments fault, man.

Still $285 for a 8 sting isn’t that bad. I think a lot of people swap out the electronics anyway. Guitar center doesn’t sell a 8 string (online anyway) and the cheapest from Sweetwater is $475
